Then I'll start off with my female Togepi, Bubba!

First, throw up a Safeguard, then shoot out a Thunder Wave, and finally a Signal Beam

Okay Garia, first use snatch to gain the effects of safeguard. If that isnt possible use safeguard yourself. Then use taunt and then use light screen

Interesting situation here with having Protect and Detect both banned...this may very well be the first time I ever reffed such a battle, not just in this ASB, but also including my days of reffing in the old ASB years ago.

    Pre-Round Stats:

    Falcon's_Eye:
    OO

    Bubba the Togepi (F)
    [IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII] Health: 100%
    [IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII] Energy: 100%
    Ability: Serene Grace
Safeguard ~ Thunder Wave ~ Signal Beam
    Status: Ready to go!

    men of horror:
    OO

    Garia the Ralts (F)
    [IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII] Health: 100%
    [IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII] Energy: 100%
    Ability: Synchronize
Snatch ~ Taunt ~ Light Screen
    Status: Ready to go!

This battle is taking place in what is probably the most common arena used in all of ASB next to Indigo Stadium, an arena with a pond located around the center, and a bunch of rocks scattered here and there. With the battle taking place fairly close to the pond, this could be quite good for the battlers, as they begin to make their way here. The first trainer soon makes his appearance. Revealing himself as Falcon's_Eye, he takes out a Pokeball and opens it up to reveal a female Togepi named Bubba. It isn't long before his opponent appears. Revealed to be men of horror, he takes out a Pokeball of his own, and opens it up to reveal a female Ralts by the name of Garia. With that, I come in, riding on the back of my female Honchkrow, Raven, ready to let the battle commence as the crow Pokemon makes her landing on the ground before allowing me to thank her and recall her. The battle is immediately started by Bubba, who begins to concentrate hard on making a Safeguard, hoping the protective veil of light will help to shield her from any nasty status effects that may come her way. But before the Safeguard can fully form, Garia darts in and makes her Snatch, taking that veil of protection for herself while leaving a look of frustration on the Togepi's face.

    Bubba: -5 Energy
    Garia: -3 Energy, Safeguarded

Not too happy about losing her Safeguard, Bubba begins to spark with electricity, intending to shock and paralyze Garia with her Thunder Wave. But her anger makes her forget that Garia was now the Pokemon with the Safeguard and not her, as the constricting bolt of electricity merely fizzles on contact with the Safeguard. Garia then takes the moment to Taunt Bubba, saying stuff about how Togepi should have had no trace of their shell upon hatching from the egg...this only results in making Bubba get even more angry...Where No Togepi Has Gone Before!, much?

    Bubba: -2 Energy, Taunted
    Garia: -3 Energy, Safeguarded

With her anger starting to take over, Bubba wastes no time whatsoever in firing a Signal Beam at Garia. Seeing the rainbow coloured beam of bug energy beginning to come her way, the Ralts is able to conjure a Light Screen to help to lessen the damage incurred by the Signal Beam strike.

    Bubba: -6 Energy, Taunted
Garia: -6 Health, -4 Energy, Safeguarded

    Stats After Round 1:

Garia use hypnosis first. If you manage to make him sleep in the first round use dream eater. If you didnt use reflect. Then in the third round use thunder wave yourself.

Use signal beam first (hopefully you wont fall asleep), then shadow ball 2x. If you DO, fall asleep, use snore until you wake up

Signal Beam ~ Shadow Ball ~ Shadow Ball (Sub: Snore if asleep)

Hypnosis ~ Dream Eater ~ Thunder Wave
Sub: Use Reflect on the second action if Hypnosis misses
    Status: Safeguarded (4 more rounds)

The battle continues as Garia decides to use Hypnosis on Bubba. Sending forth a bunch of hypnotic waves in the Togepi's direction, Bubba finds herself getting pretty sleepy...moments later, she falls asleep, but not without beginning to Snore at Garia, catching the Ralts off guard as the snoring causes a bit of discomfort and pain to Garia's ears.

    Bubba: -5 Energy, Taunted, Asleep
Garia: -6 Health, -3 Energy, Safeguarded

Relieved that her plan worked, Garia wastes no time in using a Dream Eater on Bubba. As the Ralts begins to fest on Bubba's dreams, the Togepi begins to cringe in her slumber as a result, clearly not liking what is happening right now. Upon no longer feeling the pain of the Dream Eater, the still-sleeping Bubba makes another loud Snore on Garia, making the Ralts hold her ears as the snoring causes them more pain.

Bubba: -10 Health, -5 Energy, Taunted, Asleep
Garia: -1 Health (+5 from the Dream Eater, -6 from the Snore), -10 Energy, Safeguarded

With Bubba still asleep, Garia begins to spark with electricity. A Thunder Wave soon forms in front of her, and is directed toward Bubba, bringing its paralyzing effect onto the Togepi. Bubba tries to make one more Snore on Garia, but her muscles suddenly lock up, leaving her fully paralyzed for the moment as she is unable to do a thing in her sleep. The Taunt on Bubba does wear off at this point, though.

    Bubba: Asleep, Paralyzed

how does snore only do -6%? Togepi gets STAB, plus the movelist states it as doing "excellent" damage (8-10%)?

assuming you wake up, Taunt, Signal Beam, Substitute. If you don't wake up, snore until you do

Meh, some moves in the movelist can be a little confusing for the range of damage they do, or the amount of energy they use up, whenever things get a little tricky or confusing, I turn to reffings from a certain ref who I've known here for quite a while, just to see how he did it.

Good workd Garia, use dream eater till he wakes up. When he wakes up use reflect. Then make a substitute as small as possible. If he manages to taunt you use psychic the whole time.

The battle continues as Bubba continues to snooze on. Despite the paralysis, Bubba is able to get off another Snore on Garia, making the Ralts' ears begin to sting once again. Nonetheless, Garia regains her composure, and retaliates with another Dream Eater, draining a bit more health from the sleeping Togepi as another one of her dreams gets consumed.

Bubba: -10 Health, -5 Energy, Asleep, Paralyzed
Garia: -1 Health (+5 from the Dream Eater, -6 from the Snore), -10 Energy, Safeguarded

Pained from that last assault but still sleeping soundly, Bubba is able to get off a second Snore, which once again bothers Garia's ears in the process. The Ralts is soon able to shake off this latest bit of ear pain, and uses another Dream Eater, taking away another one of Bubba's dreams to help heal the pain from all that snoring.

Bubba: -10 Health, -5 Energy, Asleep, Paralyzed
Garia: -1 Health (+5 from the Dream Eater, -6 from the Snore), -10 Energy, Safeguarded

Once again, Bubba tries to Snore at Garia, but her paralysis kicks in again, preventing her from getting off a third Snore. Speaking of thirds, Garia gets off another Dream Eater on Bubba, but not long after this one completes with Garia eating yet another dream of Bubba's, the Togepi begins to stir, slowly opening her eyes and blinking as she begins to re-adjust to her surroundings.

Subs: Use Taunt on the second action and Reflect on the third action if Hypnosis fails
Status: Safeguarded (2 more rounds), Light Screen up (1 more round*), starting to feel a little exhausted

The round begins as Garia once again tries to put Bubba back to sleep via the use of her Hypnosis. However, Bubba is determined not to let herself fall asleep anytime soon in this battle, as she manages to set up a Safeguard of her own, causing the waves of hypnotic energy to bounce off the veil of lights shielding Bubba, much to Garia's disappointment...oh well.

    Bubba: -5 Energy, Paralyzed
Garia: -3 Energy, Safeguarded, Light Screen in effect

Unhappy that her Hypnosis ploy didn't work this time, Garia begins to Taunt Bubba again much like before. As what had happened earlier, Bubba falls for the Taunt, her anger starting to boil up again. Definitely in an attacking mood now, Bubba fires back with an Ancientpower, striking Garia with a ball of powerful rock energy that sends the Ralts flying backwards in pain.

    Bubba: -5 Energy, Paralyzed, Taunted
Garia: -7 Health, -3 Energy, Safeguarded, Light Screen in effect

Deciding to shift herself to a defensive stance, Garia closes her eyes and begins to concentrate on making something to aid her defenses, namely a Reflect barrier. Despite the amount of physical shielding it provides, it does very little against Bubba's Signal Beam, as the multicoloured beam of bug energy strikes Garia, making her cry in pain as a result. The Light Screen is able to do its job again against the Signal Beam, but it soon fades.

Status: Safeguarded (1 more rounds), Reflect in effect (2 more rounds), feeling a bit exhausted

The round begins as Bubba begins to collect the energy for another Ancientpower. However, before it can fully form, Garia wastes no time in producing some clones in thanks to a Double Team, summoning two clones to her side to help her cause. Bubba resumes her concentration, and upon seeing three times Garia nearby, she chooses one of them at random to shoot the Ancientpower at, but the ball of rock energy ends up decimating a clone, much to her disappointment. Oh well...

    Bubba: -5 Energy, Paralyzed, Taunted
Garia: -4 Energy, Safeguarded, Reflect in effect, +1 Clone

With only one clone of Garia left, Bubba slowly begins to collect some ethereal, ghostly energy for a Shadow Ball. But before it can be completed, the Togepi's paralysis begins to take over her body, rendering her fully paralyzed for the moment. Garia and her clone soon begin to glow with Psychic energy, as Bubba is tossed around by a painful wave of telekinetic energy that leaves her reeling. Lucky for her it didn't do any real damage to her eggshell...

    Bubba: -9 Health, Paralyzed, Taunted
Garia: -7 Energy, Safeguarded, Reflect in effect, +1 Clone

Starting to hate the paralysis that was brought onto her earlier, Bubba tries for a Double Edge this time around, but for the second time in a row, her paralysis kicks in again, rendering her immobilized once more, as another telekinetic wave smacks her again, courtesy of another Psychic from Garia and her clone. The Safeguard shielding Garia soon fades, as does the effects of Taunt on Bubba.

    Bubba: -9 Health, Paralyzed
Garia: -7 Energy, Reflect in effect, +1 Clone

    Stats After Round 5:

    Falcon's_Eye:
    OO

    Bubba the Togepi (F)
    [IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII] Health: 42%
    [IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII] Energy: 42%
    Ability: Serene Grace
Status: Paralyzed, getting a little exhausted already

    men of horror:
    OO

    Garia the Ralts (F)
    [IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII] Health: 77%
    [IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII] Energy: 17%
    Ability: Synchronize
Status: Reflect in effect (1 more round), +1 Clone, feeling really exhausted

    Notes:

-When it comes to reffing Double Team, I always use a randomizer to determine how many clones are created, as well as the hitting the real one. Similarly, I also use a randomizer for paralysis to determine whether it would be taking effect for any action(s) in the round on the paralyzed Pokemon, sorry it had to go tough for Bubba, Falcon's_Eye. The randomizer can be a pain sometimes for someone. Thankfully though, a Pokemon doesn't lose energy when I ref them as being fully paralyzed on any of their actions.

-men of horror, you have the first move for the next round.

I'm forfeiting this match...I don't have any time for ASB anymore. I have a dance intensive all this week, I'm on vacation next week, and then I'm getting ready to move into college. So, the little time i do have left before then needs to be spent on other things..

Yes men of horror, with Falcon's_Eye forfeiting, you won.

Falcon's_Eye, I'm sorry your time in ASB had to be cut short, but I do wish you the best of luck in college and life itself, hope it all goes well.

Well, points are going to be awarded, so...

men of horror gets 2 points for the win.
Falcon's_Eye gets 1 point despite the forfeit.
I get 2 points for reffing.

Well, I guess this one is going to the books. Too bad that it can't be used for ref rewards (being that at least one Pokemon has to have fainted for a battle that ended in DQ or forfeit to be valid towards the ref rewards), but oh well....it was a good battle nonetheless, guys.
