It looks like Scientist Asi Flow has decided to check out this scientific mystery, the island floating in the sky. As a red painted bi-plane drops her off she releases Stormy, her little lion cub, to help her in her research. Instantly she's met by Ayuen, the current protector of this habitat, clad in jungle leaves and with her Surskit Faie on her shoulder.

Why is that apparently popular?

Ayuen doesn't take too kindly to trespassers, and Asi just happens to be passin a tres. Can the scientist preform her research and hold off her adversary, or will Wild Girl Ayuen keep the Floating Island pure and untouched by humanity again by adding Asi Flow to her growing list of casualties? Let's get things started. Pokémon Battle all set? Ready?! GO!

Stormy's off the bat, charging up a wide net of electricity (-2 E @ Stormy/PAR → 25% Chance Attack Failure SPD → -2), and catches Faie in her net. Faie tries to shed her skin and use the left-overs as a copy of herself, but finds her insectoid muscles have frozen up!

With speed on her side, Stormy's preparing for her next action as she gather's surrounding ions from the sky and into herself (-6 E @ Stormy, Next Electric Attack gets +5 Damage). Faie isn't about to let Stormy have her way, as she sputters a set of insults about Stormy's mother being to weak to power a Game Boy (-7 E @ Faie/CFN → 50% Chance Attack Fail, +2 ATK), wow, that struck a nerve.

Frustrated, and downright pissed off, Stormy flings herself at Faie, but slams into a tree instead (-6 E @ Stormy, -8 H @ Stormy, CFN → 40% Chance Attack Fail). Faie chuckles as only a bug can before she forces her muscles to move and a blinding light envelops the area (-4 E @ Faie), but it looks like it missed Stormy, seeing as she did just run face-first into a tree.

In this island in the clouds, the battle rages on. Who will publish their research, and who will throw the tresspasser off?

We're back with your island in the sky. Scientist Asi against Wild Girl Ayuen. Who will live? Who will survive? And who will make me a sammich?! Pokémon Battle all set? Ready?! GO!

Speed on her side, Storm crackles with raw electricity (-7 E @ Storm, -7 H @ Storm, CFN → 30% Chance Attack Failure, No longer Charged) but seems like she over-loaded her circuits and lost her charge. Faie isn't going to let this opportunity slip by and unleashes her own frustration on Storm (-6 E @ Faie//-11 H @ Storm), hitting the little Shinx hard.

Storm's world is spinning. In her topsy-turvy world she manages to cough up a plug of thick gunk from the back of her thought (-5 E @ Storm, CFN → 20% Attack Failure/TXC → 1% This Round, 3% Next Round), but her aim is off as only a small bit lands on the bug. Faie starts to glow and splits off four other copies (-4 E @ Faie, 4 Clones → 80% Chance Attack Dodge).

Energy crackling around her fangs, Stormy wiggles her butt in the air before launching herself at one of the water bugs (-5 E @ Stormy, CFN → 10% Attack Failure/3 Clones → 75% Chance Attack Dodge), but flies right through it! Faie, smiling to herselves, starts to breath in before unleashing a massively charged beam of super-cooled energy into Stormy (-9 E @ Faie/-9 H @ Stormy). Shivers run up the Shinx' skin as the attack lingers for a bit.

The battle's not over yet. So far the lightning cat has been unable to land a hit on the water bug. Is this Ayuen's turn-around-round, or can Asi gain the upper hand once again?

The fight in the sky continues on. Will researcher Asi be able to complete her tests and report her findings, or will the variable known as Ayuen be her roadblock from getting to peer-review? Pokémon Battle all set? Ready?! GO!

The storming Shinx has the advantage in speed, and seems to have his mental dexterity back as he unleashes a massive shockwave across the entire area (3 E @ Stormy, No longer CNF-10 H @ Faie, 0 Clones), three of the Faie pop like balloons as Stormy rids herself of the annoyances. The water-skitter isn't ready to give up just yet as it peers into Stormy's mind (-6 E @ Faie, Next Attack → Auto Hit).

With her target reviled, Stormy leaps in, her fangs crackling with electricity (-5 E @ Stormy/-14 H @ Faie). The attack seems to hit hard, the extra jolt of electricity locking up the insects muscles.

Grinning at the advantage, Stormy charges herself up with electricity before unleashing another burst at the suffering Faie (-6 E @ Stormy/-13 H @ Faie). Reeling back from the attack, Faie glares at the Shinx before launching a multicolored beam of raw mental anguish (-7 E @ Faie/-7 H @ Stormy, CFN → 50% Chance Attack Failure.

With the end of the round it seems as if Faie's taken quite a beating, but as Stormy seems to teeter off towards another round of confusing cat tactics its still anyone's match.

Fourth turn in, and the natives are getting restless. Ayuen's going to defend her island if it's the last thing she does, while all Asi wants to do is break out in the scientific community. The energy between these two is so thick that you can cut it with a knife. Their battle escalates and the weather seems to agree. As dark clouds gather on the horizon, will Asi make it out alive, or will Ayuen have something tender for dinner?

Despite her confusion, Stormy fights through it and manages to split into different copies (-2 E @ Stormy, 2 Clones → 66% Chance Attack Dodge, CFN → 40% Chance Attack Fail). Wanting to strike out at Stormy, Faie cringes as her muscles lock up on her.

Eyes still spinning, Stormy crackles with raw electricity before she fires off a bolt at Faie (-6 E @ Stormy, CFN → 30% Chance Attack Fail/-15 H @ Faie). That was a hard jolt, causing Faie's muscles to lock up again! Damn that paralysis!

It does appear that Stormy's winning, before she charges, then ends up electrocuting herself (-5 E @ Stormy, -10 H @ Stormy, CFN → 20% Chance Attack Fail). That suits Faie, as her muscles finally relax enough for her to fire off a cold beam of energy into Stormy's side (-9 E @ Faie). It blasts through one of the Shinx clones leaving two possible Stormy's (1 Clone → 50% Chance Attack Dodge).

Is the fight drawing to a close? It seems so as the scientist and wild girl seem to have started up a yelling combetition. Stormy and Faie look worse for wear, but can the team of SCIENCE defeat their opposition, or will NATURE go unchecked?

Pokémon Battle all set? Ready?! GO!

Stormy's still dizzy and all kinds of confuzzled, she charges up again, before a bright flash illuminates the immediate area (-4 E @ Stormy, CFN → 10% Chance Attack Failure/ACC → -1, 2 Rounds → 20% Chance Attack Miss), good thing the ref was wearing shades. Not so good for Faie. Blind, paralyzed and mad as a hornet she launches out a barrage of stars that sweep over the field, zeroing in on Stormy (-4 E @ Faie/-4 H @ Stormy, 0 Clones).

Stormy twirls around after the hit, before slamming into a tree and a coconut falls on her head (-5 E @ Stormy, -8 H @ Stormy, CFN → 0% Chance Attack Fail) knocking some sense into her. Laughing, Faie tries to shoot a beam of mental energy at her (-7 E @ Faie/-7 H @ Stormy, CFN → 50% Chance Attack Fail) and looks like Stormy's in her own little world again.

The Shinx is teetering and tottering left and right, stumbling over herself as she stumbles over into another tree, queing another coconut to fall (-5 E @ Stormy, -8 H @ Stormy, 40% Chance Attack Fail). Faie's rolling in laughter, watching as the Shinx beats herself up. The laughter doesn't make her muscles give out as she takes a deep breath and then unleashes a massive burst of water into the distressed Shinx (-10 E @ Faie/-13 H @ Stormy (CAP)), soaking the Electric Type's fur.

The round winds down, it looks like Team Science just might be getting their keister kicked by Team Nature. Can Nature protect her secrets, or be dissected with a rusty knife? Will Science prevail or be turned into mulch?

Faie stares at the specticle, before launcing a volley of stars at her (-4 E @ Faie/-1 H @ Stormy, TKO'D!). And Stormy has been defeated!

As Researcher Asi is being ready to be shipped off the island (the hard way) Ayuen has defended her island paradise. Serves Asi right for trying to deny the Ref his rewards.
