Welcome ladies and gentlemen! Today we have the debut bout of one of the League's newest competitors, crown34! As they take their side of the field, their opponent is revealed to be another newcomer, the Deadwood Zen. The match begins as Deadwood lets out a Maki-Maku-THAT fighting Pokémon from Generation three with the difficult name. Crown unleashes his Absol by the name of Nero. It's a another feminine final fatale as Momo and Nero face off. Will this turn out to be a real cat-fight or another Cenimax late-night movie?

Let's get things started! Pokémon Battle all set?! Ready? GO!

Nero starts the motions for a step-by-step dance, but Momo rushes in so fast it freaks the Doom Dog right out (-8 E @ Nero/-3 H @ Nero (FLINCH)). Guess this isn't a dance party.

Momo takes the Absol's confused look as a hint while she rushes up, grabs Nero and flings her across the arena (-12 E @ Momo/-16 H @ Momo). Nero picks herself up, shakes the dust off, and then starts to foresee an attack coming in the future (-10 E @ Nero).

With her future set, Nero dashes forward, her horn glowing before she slashes at Momo right across the chest (-11 E @ Nero/-21 H @ Momo (CRIT)), and it's a hard hit, sending the Fighting Type sprawling back. The Makuhita pushes herself up before hacking and coughing and sending a sludge at Nero that soaks into her fur (-9 E @ Momo/TXC → 3% This round, 6% next).

And the first round is underway. Momo got hit pretty hard, but can the quick jabbin, no sassin, Makuhita stay in the fray, or will the doom dog have her own day?

Second round in this newbie brawl. Well the Absol be able to use its precognition to knock the Makuhita for a loop, or will the Fighting-Type's stratigy be the doom dog's undoing?

Nero begins to prance back and forth, as best one with four legs could do in an ancient ritualistic dance of past warriors (-4 E @ Nero, ATK → +2). Momo snickers as she pulls a dirty trick by kicking sand into Nero's eyes (-7 E @ Momo/ACC → -1 (10% chance Miss)). That was dirty, and I was enjoying the display too...

Momo takes the chance as Nero claws at her face, to do a wild wind-up before flinging herself towards at the Absol (-12 E @ Momo/-16 H @ Nero, CFN → 50% Chance Attack Failure). The hit seems to have confounded Nero somethin fierce as she wobbles, trying to regain her bearings (-6 E @ Nero, -8 H @ Nero, CFN → 40% Chance Attack Failure) but it doesn't look that way as she trips over her own feet.

Nero picks herself back up, her eyes spinning like a hypnotist's watch (-6 E @ Nero, -8 H @ Nero, CFN → 30% Chance Attack Failure) and she starts spinning in one of the directions her eyes are going. Gotta love a disoriented target, Momo seems to think as she rushes up to the Absol, grabs a handful of hair and flings her across the arena again (-12 E @ Momo/-8 H @ Nero (Damage Capped!)).

It seems as if Nero's getting the short end of the stick. Come on! Fight back a little bit! Can the psychic get her act together or will Momo pull the plug on her television show?

Its' the next round. Can crown34 manage to gain the edge he needs, or will Deadwood steamroll his way through his fellow newbies team?

Momo's ready to hit Nero nice hand hard, but what she's not ready for, is for that earlier Psychic attack to come screaming out of left field, throwing off her aim (-12 E @ Momo, -15 H @ Momo (Future Sight)). The attack was fortunate, as Nero nods off to sleep (+8 H @ Nero, +5 E @ Nero, SLP → 10% Chance Wake Up).

The Absol seems to be snoring contently, as she shimmers with a light psychic aura (-0 E @ Nero, +8 H @ Nero, SLP → 80% Chance Wake Up). Momo slaps some sense into herslef before she grabs the Absol by the tail and flings her across the arena again (-12 E @ Momo/-16 H @ Nero, SLP → 70% Chance Wake Up).

Momo rushes over to the snoozing Nero before rolling her shoulders for another wild throw (-6 E @ Momo, -3 H @ Momo (Energy Substitute)/-7 @ Nero, +1E @ NeroSPATK → +1, SPDEF → +1, SLP → 60% Chance Wake Up). Even as Nero seems to be stirring in her sleep, it seems as if she's hit on a trance of some kind.

The round ends up,and as Nero snoozes away, Momo's more than frustrated. Though the Makuhita has a lead in health, can the Absol find a way to pull out a win from Hammerspace?

And we're back to this titanic cat-fight. As Nero sleeps soundly in dreamland, can Momo burn through her own health to put the dog down, or will the Absol slice through her mind like a hot knife through butter?

Snoring soundly, Nero seems to twitch in her sleep, murmuring something under her breath (+8 H @ Nero, -2 E @ Nero, Attack → 4 Actions, SLP → 50% Chance Wake Up). With a still moving target, Momo charges up her blast before cutting lose (-7 H @ Momo (Energy Substitute)/-15 H @ Nero, SLP → 40% Chance Wake Up). The hit is solid.

Momo focuses her own life energy into another burst before sending it out into the unconcious Absol ((-7 H @ Momo (Energy Substitute)/-15 H @ Nero, SLP → 30% Chance Wake Up). The hit seems to shock Nero awake, as she scans the arena for her target, bright eyed and busy tailed. Her horn glows as she runs at Momo, and slices through her with a sword of pure psychic force (-8 E @ Nero/-15 H @ Momo).

Nero keeps going on the offensive as she proves mind over matter, or rather, tries to, seems her vision is still asqewked. Momo's tickled pink, but she manages to give the Absol a poisoned slap to the side (-5 H @ Momo (Energy Substitute)/TOXIC → 3% This Round, 6% Next).

The round is over but the fighting still continues. Can Momo pull on her reserves long enough to down Nero, or can the Doom Dog predict victory in her own future?

(-3 H @ Nero (TXC)).

And! Wait! She's down! Nero's Down as the toxic poison ran through her system! Momo's not looking very good herself.

With the fainting of Nero, crown decided that to take on his problem, the dark crow Crow, of all things.

Can the Mystery Science Theater crew member finally drop the tub of love that is Momo? Or will the fighter be able to clip his wings?

Momo braces herself for whatever attack is going to come her way (-4 H @ Momo (Energy Substitute)). Crow manages to fake her out by casting out a net of paralyzing electricity (-3 E @ Crow/PAR → 25% Chance Attack Failure, SPD → -2).

With Momo paralyzed, or feeling the effects thereof, Crow uses his wings to his advantage and slams right into Momo (-1 E @ Crow/-10 H @ Momo). Momo finds herself paralyzed from the effects of the electric burst earlier, but from out of nowhere comes a blast, predicted from Nero's psychic prowess (-3 H @ Momo -> TKO'D).

Crow's managed to secure a win, but can crown keep the pace up, or will Zen beat him back?
