Grey, you may have accepted your position as an Elite Four, but before you take your leave, I challenge you and your Gym for your Badge and the right to succeed you as you enter the Elite Four.

It's your house, your rules. So do you accept?

Battle will be 3 v 3; I'll choose first, you attack first. DQ time is 2 weeks. No banned attacks. Abilities will be on as well.

That said, I'll choose my female empoleon, Sovereign. She's got Torrent, a'course.

Very well. I'll start off with Susanoo (M, Inner Focus).

Start off by tripping it up with a Low Kick before transitioning into a Sky Uppercut then finish off the round with a Thunder Punch

Wow. This might be the last time I step into the room! This match is Grey's probable farewell match as he ascends to the Elite 4, a title not to be taken lightly. His challenger and hopeful successor is Mew Master, a competent battler here in our ASB.

Enough out of me, we wanna see a fight! Out comes Susanoo, Mew's Lucario. Defending her Gym's honor is Sovereign. The White Room seems to welcome both fighters, and the match starts immediately, with Susanoo crouching and sweep kicking his way over to Sovereign. Sov begins hopping back, but knows she's no match for that Lucario's encroaching speed. So she puts a little muscle into her step and bounces back fast, dashing a good yard or so backwards!

Sovereign then blitzes forward as Susanoo stands up in a Tai Chi pose, eyes closed. She goes in for the spiraling Drill Peck and connects with Susanoo's chest. Susanoo's left arm-extended backwards snakes upward-palm open, until it reaches Sov's belly. He closes his fist just before increasing momentum, giving Sov a nasty uppercut that sent her skyward.

Sovereign was sailing backwards, not even close to hitting the ground as Susanoo jettisoned forward and dove rig to where it seemed Sov was gong to hit. Before she hit teh grond Susanoo let loose another Punch, this one crackling with electric current! The force of the blow sent Sov spinning as she crashed haplessly with the ground. Instead of coming to a stop however, Sovereign turned the blow into a momentum inducer, using her hardened belly to toboggan back toward Susanoo!

She forced her upper half to rise up, forcing her belly to skip once, giving her enough airtime to open her wings and turn in the air. The left wing clipped Susanoo, making him drop his guarding his arm; so when Sov's right arm came whipping around, it was like a planar break in Susanoo's defense. Sus winced as the hit was delivered to his collarbone, and Sov landed on her two feet, wings out to her sides, before hopping backwards a bit.

Stil pumped from last round, Sov keeps thins interesting. Spinning in place, water leaves the tips of her wings and encase her in a hula hoop of water. Susanoo doesn't appreciate this self restorative act one bit, and runs over. She skids to a stop but juts one arm out-Palm open. That Bony spur smashes into Sov's backside and forces her to tense up painfully.

Sovereign relaxes, thankfully and turns to her assailant. Being so close allowed Susanoo the luxury of not losing sight of her, and that aided alot as Sov realized something was wrong. There was no Haze rolling in, cause she didn't know haze. A massive strike struck the penguin right in the trident face armor, knocker her back a ways

Opening her hand to release that energy, Susanoo felt the world began to quake under her. At the last second, before the massive tremor struck her for good, she slammed her fists down with that remaining Focused energy and sent a Counter Shockwave. The Earthquake still hurt her, but the Counter quake caught Sov off guard, and knocked her back as well..

Sov knows she has to make a breakaway move right now. So she does, buy zipping backwards and splitting into clones as she does so. The ceiling orb begins to flash in multicolors, making Susanoo's attack all the more dangerous. Its a sphere that he whips with uncanny accuracy, crashing through the clones and striking her down in one hit! Sov reaches out for help, but lies still a moment later

Susanoo dares not fall for the games of a Gym Leader's Pokmeon. A second Aura Sphere was charged up and held in ethereal grasp as Sus walked over to Sov. Sov waited until the moment was right, before slamming her flippers down into the room's tiles. The ground quivered, and then erupted, forcing Sus to launch that sphere upward.

Sus stayed on the ground, smirking as Sov stood up. A small shadow appeared and Sov looked up. That sphere homed in at such horrifying speed, all Sus could do was use her arm as a shield to block anything coming her way from the resulting collision.

Sov was out. Yikes.

No worries, Reign, you did as well as you could in spite of me being foolish. In your stead, I'll send my black gallade, Perseus. Earthquake worked out well for us last go around, so let's give him a couple more, followed by a nice Drain Punch! If he goes for a Counter (which he shouldn't be able to do in this room anyway, but that's up to DL), sub your roster with a pair of Psychic attacks, followed by Thunderbolt!

Grey watches with a calm sense as the room turns red, and spies a great opportunity to turn this around. Out comes Perseus, whom keeps his blades hidden away for the time being. Susanoo welcomes the fighter with a dazzling array of strikes right off the bat. Perseus-feeling the rage of the room doesnt stop, even after he is slashed across his stomach. Forced into a spin, Perseus is then lashed across the back by the swift Lucario, whom then grabs his head and roars, before bringing Persus to meet his knees.

Perseus rebounds backwards from that powerful combo and falls. But in falling, Perseus extends both blades and juts them into the ground. It stabilizes the fighter and causes a second Earthquake that takes Susanoo off his feet.

Susanoo wasn't getting up as more shakes were in store for him. Perseus was not letting the Lucario get away with THAT much damage so damned easily. As the second Quake came to a close, Perseus retracted his blades and stayed in a crouched position.

Looking to recover some sort of health, Perseus lunged with a fury unlike anything in this match thus far, and slammed his fist into Susanoo's chest. The Lucario cried in pain as the punch drained away any life left.

Mew clenches his teeth. This match was still anyone's game. Out comes Jibba, that crafty phantom, and already its under the rooms effects. Surging forth, Perseus was knocked by by a pretty potent Shadow Sneak. That was fine and dandy, as Perseus ran forth and flung some of the broken floors shards in the eyes of Jib. Ack holy hell that's raw!

Blinded by that, Jib shakes its body to try and free its eyes, since you know, Spiritomb dun have hands. Perseus waits with anxiety biting at every part of its frame, and gleefully smirks as a Shadowball whizzes past and slams into the wall. Perseus dives forward and slashes Jib, alerting him that hey, you missed sucker!

This was far too simple. Perseus now opened his mind, but for a moment, there was a twinge of pain. Ominous Wind from Jib was the culprit. No matter, makes this all the more potent. Maybe...if he could stop being so full of rage for one moment...he coud use it.

Nope. The Room has him so anxious to attack that he can't focus on anything but attacking. So he did! Lunging at Jib, Perseus stabbed the ghost and pulled pure health from him. The tether reached an equalizing point and both Pokemon broke away, balanced in that regard.

As the Red room continues to drive our fighters mad, Perseus seems to gain some sort of clairvoyance onto Jib's strategy. He's already dashing in and hammering punches to Jib's rocky base. It takes everything the phantom has to blow him back and away with an Ominous Wind

The sequence happens again, and Jib manages to eek out a second Ominous Wind as its getting a nasty barrage beatdown by Perseus. There is a cooling washback however, and Jib feels it.

The final round has Perseus dash in and uppersuckercut Jib upward. the Wayward ghost needs not to see to force the winds around his body, and cyclone down on Perseus. The Fighter kneels to absorb the pain, but jumps back, realizing he's pushed himself too hard.

Ahh a better color. Yellow suits this place. Anyway. Jib still fizzles a bit from that last round, and now looks to finish out the battle strong, as a Blastoise comes to take the match under control for the Gym. First Jib tries to get some health back. Unlike last round though, that link is immediately blocked and Levi smirks. There's plenty of time between him and the link.

Feeling a bit...pressured, Levi decides to turn things up a notch and flips out a quick substitute by shooting water from its cannons and forcing the broken tiles up in a rudimentary fashion. Tomb-though faster than normal now, doesn't realize this and sets up a Pain Split again, not connecting with the Sub...and getting nothing.

Happy that the stupid ghost is stuck in a Pain Split loop, Levi calmly fires a Brine to start dealing damage. Meanwhile Jib is left to wonder, how and why is this thing resisting him!

Jib stops the loop, confused and tired. Levi feels a tad bit overexpended, but he looks like he has a plan. This Gym Leader still has quite a few tricks up his sleeves.

Actually DL, I think you're miss-interpreting a key Mechanic of Destiny Bond.

Destiny Bond doesn't target.

It's like if I activated the primer on a pressure sensitive bomb-jacket just after punching someone out, the next hit to me will kill both parties.

In a double Battle (which is analogous to this), Destiny Bond will affect whoever KO's the DB user first. Since my Sucker Punch destroyed the Substitute, Destiny Bond should affect the next party to hit Jib since its effects would stick around to the end of those set of actions.

When Destiny Bond is used, if the user faints as the direct result of an attack, the Pokémon that landed the knockout hit also faints. A Pokémon defeated by this move will faint before the Pokémon which used Destiny Bond. This move's effect only works if the user faints before making another move. If it faints later than that (unless it used this move again), this move's effect will not happen. Destiny Bond does not activate for damage that occurs at the end of the turn, including damage from Leech Seed and Future Sight. In a double battle, both opponents are targeted, but only the one that knocks the user out is affected. In a double battle, if the partner Pokémon causes the Pokémon using Destiny Bond to faint, the partner Pokémon will not be affected.[/b]
