Round 1
Each trainer acknowledges one another and begin the demonstration. Challenger Darth releases his first pokemon: an intimidatingly large gengar named Orpheus, while Darkly calls upon a swift weavile, Kenzie.

Orpheus attempts to stir up some poisons in his body, but before he can even think about launching them, his heart is filled with a deep-seeded anger towards Kenzie [ Orpheus Taunted / -2PP Kenzie ]. His ghostly shell is taunted, and his abilities of shifty quirkiness have been compromised -- he was going to hafta go all-out on this weasel. Orpheus charges at Kenzie angrily and gives the man a volley of light punches before retreating to his own corner [ -5HP Kenzi / -5PP Orpheus ].

Kenzi, light as a feather, leaps high into the air for his next stunt. As the gengar questions what's coming next, he is blasted with a grim ball of death and misfortune [ -12HP Orpheus / -6PP Kenzi ]. The hell? Where'd that come from!? It doesn't matter anymore, what's done is done. Orpheus seeks out his crafty foe and punches him in the torso, draining out life from him [ -12HP Kenzi / -9PP, +6HP Orpheus ].

Kenzi smirks before slicing the air, sending a crippling shockwave of dark energy towards the ghost pokemon. The energy collides with Orpheus, causing great damage [ -12HP Orpheus / -4PP Kenzi ]. Orpheus shrugs it off before lighting his right fist on fire and sending it directly into the ice pokemon's face [ -11HP Kenzi / -7PP Orpheus ].

After a full round's of events, Orpheus has calmed down from the taunting.

Kenzi immediately begins the second round by shifting his body and four body doubles that stand in a line opposite Orpheus [ +80% Eva, -10PP Kenzi ]. The ghost pokemon cackles before attempting to subdue the weasel, but Kenzi's not even paying any attention [ -5PP Orpheus ].

Very pleased with himself, Kenzi begins plotting his next move as his abilities start to increase exponentially [ +20% SpA, -5PP Kenzi ]. Orpheus attempts to devour the weavile's dreams, but he can't get a read on them [ -9PP Orpheus ].

Another wave of dark energy is flung out by Kenzi; it rips through the gengar easily, almost tearing his body in two [ -14HP Orpheus / -4PP Kenzi ]. Orpheus pulls himself back together before trying eat the dreams once again, but that crafty weasel keeps evading him! How is this possible [ -9PP Orpheus ]!?

Round 3
With his safeguard of clones all surrounding him, Kenzi begins sharpening his claws to increase his attack power [ -5PP, +20% Atk Kenzi ]. Orpheus, tired of the weasel's shenanigans, creates a gust of ghostly wind with his body as the epicenter. The wave of grim energy sails through the air before striking through all of the clones as well as Kenzi himself, dealing weakened damage [ -6HP Kenzi / -5PP Orpheus ].

Kenzi utilizes his newfound strength quite well, leaping into the air and directly into Orpheus. Kenzi squeals as his claws strike the ghost pokemon down greatly [ -8HP Orpheus / -4PP Kenzi ]. Kenzi lands a few feet behind his foe; without him looking, Orpheus lights his fist on fire once more and slams it into his back, knocking him off balance [ -11HP Kenzi / -7PP Orpheus ].

Orpheus has had enough and starts charging up his final attack of the round. Meanwhile, Kenzi disappears in the shadows for a few seconds before reappearing at his side, slashing him with his dark energy [ -11HP Orpheus / -3PP Kenzi ]. Orpheus clutches his side, but not before releasing the pent-up energy in a maelstrom of power. The blast easily knocks the wind out of Kenzi [ -15HP Kenzi / -13PP Orpheus ]. Orpheus, drained, must relax as Kenzi slowly pulls himself off the wall.

Recharge... and Focus Blast the ground in front of the Weavile to make flying debris (and hopefully do SOME damage) Then Psychic the debris to make HOMING DEBRIS MISSLES OF AWESOMENESS

Ok.

First we're gonna walk over and grab Illusion's Orb, and use it on the recharging Pokemon. Save some energy.

Then, we're just gonna wear it down. When it fires that blast, Faint Attack and smack it once. Then while that debris flies all around and toward you, Faint Attack to dodge and smack that fool once more.

As Orpheus spends an action regaining lost energy, Kenzi wastes none by leaping up to Illusion and swiping the orb from it's plate. The orb reacts as Kenzi holds it in his hands, sending a trembling wave of psionic energy throughout the arena, giving Orpheus a huge headache [ -15HP Orpheus ]. When the attack finishes, the orb shatters into several pieces before disappearing into nothingness.

Kenzi waits this time for his foe to fire off a massive collection of fighting energy at... the floor? Yes, the floor. The blast shoots several chunks of debris into the air [ -8PP Orpheus ], but Kenzi himself has avoided all of them by shying away and slicing at the ghost pokemon repeadedly from behind [ -11HP Orpheus / -3PP Kenzi ].

Orpheus holds onto the chunks of floor with his mind and, in a panic, looks for Kenzi. The weasel shrills before attacking once more [ -11HP Orpheus / -3PP Kenzi ], before getting struck with a few pieces of the ground [ -6HP Kenzi / -4PP Orpheus ].

As Orpheus busies himself with the act, Kenzi furiously comes at his side with a series of dark slashes, bringing down the ghost pokemon before he could even finish his ritual [ -11HP Orpheus / -3PP Kenzi ].

Lina replaces the ghost pokemon, but before she can even sass her foe, Kenzie, her vision becomes blurry -- there are now five of them [ -6PP, +80% Eva Kenzi ]. Lina plays it cool and focuses her thoughts before slamming her iron fists into one of the weavile. The attack is successful, knocking Kenzi into a wall quite easily [ -24HP, -80% Eva Kenzi / -10PP, -10% Def, -10% SpD Kenzi ].

Kenzi attempts to pull himself back together, but before he can muster up the strength, the fresher Lina hits him while he's down with a blazing right hook [ -12HP Kenzi / -7PP Lina ]. He doesn't get back up.

Quasar leaps into the battlefield ready to defend her gym. The galduck snaps her fingers and summons a mighty blizzard to brush over the field quite easily, but it only causes less-than-stellar damage to the lucaria doll just created by Lina [ -15HP, -5PP Lina / -8PP Quasar / +15HP, -9HP Lucario Doll ].

As per her master's orders, Lina holds back until Quasar readies her second attack. A large ball of mud is created and flung wildly at the lucaria, but before it can connect, Lina shoots off a well-timed shadow ball. The two bombs collide, exploding on impact and sending mud everywhere [ -3HP, -3PP Quasar / -5PP Lina / -6HP Lucario Doll ], destroying the substitute Lina had previously created.

Frustrated that her shadow ball didn't work so well, Lina lets loose with a snapping electric fist. The punch lands and knocks Quasar off her webbed feet quite easily [ -11HP Quasar / -5PP Lina ]. Before Lina can congratulate herself, however her head begins to ache uncontrollably as Quasar, from her sitting position no less, flings her into a wall using telepathy [ -10HP Lina / -6PP Quasar ].

Lina stretches out her right arm as electricity charges upon her balled-up fist. Quasar remains calm, focusing on the incoming punch and surrounding herself with an orange-hued aura. Lina cries out, connecting her fist with the platypus [ -11HP Quasar / -5PP Lina ], but before Lina could retreat, Quasar latches onto the arm and, with a great feat of strength, slams the lucaria to the ground [ -22HP Lina / -10PP Quasar ].

Lina pulls herself up off the ground and fires off a blast of stale energy that explodes upon hitting Quasar's fine frame [ -8HP Quasar / -6PP Lina ]. Quasar retalliates with another bomb of mud that gives Lina quite a headache [ -8HP Lina / -6PP Quasar ].
