    Default Quick and painless 2 on 2! Oslo vs. CutsiePie (ref: Cynder)

    Just an itty-bitty battle. Who's game?

    We will play with the following stipulations: two Pokemon each, one at a time, no swapping, banning Curse/Pain Split, no damage cap, three day DQ... and I think that just about covers it. Oh, and the arena will be a Chuck E. Cheese. Every so often, as determined by the ref, there's a chance the restaurant's titular mascot will run up and kick one of the Pokemon in the face for minor damage. He is disgruntled. Let's leave it at that.

    For my first Pokemon, I send out La Princesse, my shiny female Joltik with Compoundeyes. My opponent will release and then issue commands. I will issue commands directly after.

    Bring it! Microwaveable noodle cups of thanks to the helpful ref who comes along to oversee this little fracas.

    Yaay! Your choices of flavour for the microwaveable noodle cups are chicken and vegetable. Choose wisely, young one.

    Lol, so that's how it is...

    La Princesse, begin with Attract. Follow it up with Toxic and then decimate that Rock/Ground with an Energy Ball.

    Arena: Chuck E. Cheese. Every so often, as determined by the ref, there's a chance the restaurant's titular mascot will run up and kick one of the Pokemon in the face for minor damage. He is disgruntled. Let's leave it at that.

    La Princesse

    Female @ Compoundeyes
    Hp: |||||||||||||||||||| 100pts
    Energy: |||||||||||||||||||| 100pts
    Attract ~ Toxic ~ Energy Ball

    Golem

    Male @ Rock Head
    Hp: |||||||||||||||||||| 100pts
    Energy: |||||||||||||||||||| 100pts
    Sandstorm ~ Rock Slide ~ Rock Slide

    Our two battlers of the day, Oslo and Cutsie Pie, eye each other up from either side of a Chuck E. Cheese restraunt. What brought on this random battle is unknown to all, but that is irrelevant. Fumbling with his belt, Oslo ends out a little shiny four legged spider. Nintendo - since when have spiders had 4 legs? In retaliation, Cutsie sends out a rocky... stone... thing? And the battle begins.

    ***

    As the faster pokemon, the little princess swoons at Golem, giving him the puppy dog look and emphasising her shininess by letting off alluring little sparks. D'aww. Golem, aiming to impress the little cutie, begins to stomp on the ground and do an odd tribal dance, summoning a raging sandstorm... Inside a building? The physics of pokemon baffle me. The little bug shudders from the sandstorm, and hides behind the adoring Golem out of the storm.
    Golem: -6 NRG, Attracted ~ La Princesse: -4 NRG, -1 HP (SS)

    ***

    La Princessa is soo over Golem, their date so far has been a sham. So in annoyance, she spits at Golem. This little spider must be venomous - Golem feels himself fall under the effects of the poison, and the heartbroken dude decides simply not to attack at all. He is so not over you girl! She goes to hide behind Golem, but the sulking rock formation puches her away and she faces the full brunt of the swirling sand.
    Golem: -1 HP (tox) ~ La Princesse: -6 NRG, -3 HP (SS)

    ***

    Oh no he didn't! La Princesse is serious now. Golem sees he ball of green energy that she's conjuring, and within moments he feels it hit him for 4x the original damage. Ouch, rejection and an attack like that in the same day? Temporarily shrugging off his adoration for the little Joltik, he picks some of the stones from his body (they promptly grow back) and tosses them at La Princesse, who cowers as the shower of rocks hit. One of those rocks hits the owner of the restraunt, and the disgruntled guy in the mascot costume runs at Golem, aiming to kick him in the face. The Sandstorm gets the better of him though, clouds his vision, and he ends up simply stubbing his toe on one of the tables. Now he's pissed. The two pokemon laugh, but Golem shudders from the poisoning and La Princesse is caught in the whirling sand and dirt yet again.
    Golem: -1 HP (tox), -29 HP, -7 NRG ~ La Princesse: -2 HP (SS), -15 HP, -7 NRG

    Teehee, Golem looks like a semi-malfunctioning toy robot.

    Good work, La Princesse. (BTW, her ability is Compoundeyes, not Unnerve. No biggie. )

    Gonna keep things straightforward: begin with X-Scissor. Follow with Energy Ball and then Bug Buzz.

    Sub: If Energy Ball doesn't hit, replace Bug Buzz with another Energy Ball.

    Arena: Chuck E. Cheese. Every so often, as determined by the ref, there's a chance the restaurant's titular mascot will run up and kick one of the Pokemon in the face for minor damage. He is disgruntled. Let's leave it at that.

    Counter x3

    La Princesse decided that it was too easy to use a super effective attack when a neutral attack is just as useful. Anyway, she runs up to him and crosses her front legs, and uses the little spikes on them to scratch Golem in the face. He then grabbed the little claws and threw her across the room with a loud thud, and she groans. Not cool, big round dude. Chuck E Cheese finds himself with a little spider clinging to his face, and he doesn't like it one bit. With a flourish of his wrist and a swift kick of the leg, La Princesse finds herself flying across the room yet again, with a mounth full of grit and sand. Golem shrugs and thanks his luck, before shuddering from the effects of the poison again.
    Golem: -2 HP (tox), -6 NRG, -8 HP ~ La Princesse: -3 HP (SS), -6 NRG, -16 HP, -4 HP (C E. Cheese)

    ***

    La Princesse decides to switch back to good old Energy Ball. Golem cringes as the ball of energy (I rule at descriptions, amIrite?) hits him, but he just gives La Princesse the lovey dovey looks. Even if he did do what he was told, it wouldn't have done anything. Poison kicks in again on him, and La Princesse is buffeting around in the sandstorm.
    Golem: -2 HP (tox), -30 HP ~ La Princesse: -2 HP (SS), -7 NRG

    ***

    La Princesse starts laughing at Golem's misfortune, but is it really laughter? It sounds a lot more like vacant buzzing, and Golem is clutching at his ears (if he even has any ears) and waving his arms around madly, trying to Counter the special attack. Needless to say, his attempt failed, so he stopped and simply took the effects of the poisoning, and his attraction for La Princesse wore off. He looked at La Princesse, who was braced herself against the storm yet again with a shiny body still ravaged by little cuts from the sand, and wondered what he ever saw in her.
