Alright then, go Slytherin my female Seviper with Shed Skin! ...who's never battled until now. Whoo.

Round ONE
As we enter the final stretch of April's tournament, finalists DarkestLight and Rossymore summon their last pokemon -- Dark with his kangaskhan, Darwin, and Ross with his seviper, Slytherin. Both are pokemon that the referee has never actually reffed before, so this should certainly be interesting. The whistle is blown, and the attacks are called out, readying both pokemon for battle!

Darwin readies herself to serenade her opponent to a calming slumber with her song, but when her eyes fixate on the serpent, all she can see is how much she loathes her and decides, eff it all, she's going to strike! And how!, Darwin connects with a nasty aqua tail, leaving Slytherin to wonder just why she wanted to piss off the motherly kangaroo anyway.

Darwin - Taunted, -8PP // -2PP, -10HP - Slytherin

Slytherin shakes her head awkwardly in a vague attempt to regain her composure after that last attack, but Darwin just keeps laying on the hurt with an ice beam that proves to be almost as painful. Slytherin shakes her head once more and decides that now's the time to strike back, and envelopes the kangaskhan tightly, wrapping around her frame and constricting several times.

Darwin - -7PP, -15HP // -5PP, -9HP - Slytherin

Darwin frees herself from the slender snake's rope-like devotion by tossing her to the opposite side of the platform, and shakes things up (literally) by stamping her large hooves repeatedly. Upon seeing Slyth's unhappy face amongst the tremor's, Darwin's rage finally subsides. Slyth, meanwhile, is none-too-pleased by the outcome, but responds justly with an acidic spit -- poisoning Darwin terribly.

Round TWO
Feeling at ease, Darwin begins her song once more as Slytherin coils himself up like an unused rope. The serpant begins feeling strengthened by her posture, but ultimately gives into the song's relaxing nature and is seduced to slumber by it.

Darwin - -3PP, -1HP // +1 Atk, +1 Def, +1 Spd, -7PP, Asleep - Slytherin

With Slytherin tucked in quite nicely, Darwin takes this time to approach the pedastal of orbs and, curiously, takes one in her arms. She blesses the orb, and it begins to shine brightly before shooting a beam of heavenly pink light up into the skies.

About a minute passes without result, and Darwin begins to think that she's been gypped. But after a few more seconds of patiently waiting around, the pink beam of light shoots downward, howling as it does so. In a swift flash, the Judgment slices through the seviper, dealing incredible damage. Amazingly, Slytherin is still asleep...

Darwin - -1HP // +10PP, -15HP - Slytherin

Quite gleeful, picks up another orb and blesses it as it fires off a brown beam of light into the air this time. Under all the commotion, though, Slytherin finally awakens and jumps into action by striking Darwin with an attack used against her once. Darwin absorbs the hit nicely as Slytherin looks at her dumbfounded. "Why are you sssmiling," she would wonder. But before she could even do so, the howling commences and she is struck by the orb's powerful judgment.

Round THREE
Not pleased at all by the kangaskhan's stealthy orb reliance, Slytherin decides to even the score by latching onto one of the orbs on her side of the arena floor with her tail. In a swift second, the orb is blessed and a light-brown ray of light shoots into the air, screaming along the way. Darwin worries about the happenings, but ultimately puts in in the back of her mind by attacking Slytherin with a chilling blizzard.

Seconds pass, and the screaming resumes as judgment is casted upon Darwin, dealing incredible damage.

Darwin - -10PP, -2HP, -15HP // -12HP - Slytherin

Decidedly happy about the events, Slytherin latches onto another orb, getting the same results as before. Darwin shudders, but retaliates with a flamethrower to warm up her slanky foe. The fire actually has more of an effect this time, burning Slytherin in the process.

The judgment beam shoots back down seconds later and crashes into the kangaskhan.

Darwin - -7PP, -2HP, -15HP // +3% Brn, -1 Atk, -9HP - Slytherin

Slytherin cries out as the burn slowly takes hold of her body, and tangles herself up to gather strength. Darwin, meanwhile, doesn't ease up and instead stamps the ground below, sending tremors to ripple around the arena!

Round FOUR
With a devilish smirk, Darwin pulls another orb from the mantle and summons its judgment. Slytherin swallows hard, knowing what's about to come, but ultimately puts it in the back of her mind as she uses the burns as fuel. Slytherin tackles Darwin with a fierce bit of energy before being struck by the bolt of judgmental energy.

Darwin - -3HP, -13HP // -15HP, -5PP, -1HP - Slytherin

Second verse; same as the first... almost.

Upon tackling Darwin a second time, Slytherin successfully moults her outermost layer of skin.

Darwin - -3HP, -13HP // -3% Brn, +1 Atk, -5PP, -15HP - Slytherin

Darwin reaches for another orb, but fails to realize that her mantle's all but used up! Slytherin smirks and latches onto one of her own with her tail, summoning an earthly beam of light into the air. Darwin worries, but drives toward the snake's side and snatches the last of the orbs for herself.

The twin beams of judgment rain from the sky, striking each pokemon heavily.

Well, now is a bad time to find that Seviper knows neither Endure nor Endeavor. Nor does it know any priority moves to get around Sucker Punch. And I can't use Sucker Punch myself to get around your orders because Seviper is slower.

Well I've lost, so go for Final Gambit and knock Darwin down by 6 HP.

It's come down to this. Slytherin, knowing that her health is deteriorating fast, knows she's got one last gambit up her sleave. She closes her eyes and summons the last bit of strength she has left, and... oh wait, nope, nevermind. She got swept away by a chillingly fast blizzard...

Match is over. Darwin wins.

Yeah. But I don't care just it's so adorable! *squeezes* But had Toxic worked as it does in the games and you might have just slightly less health. Maybe.
