I hereby claim this thread as an art dump! I'll just leave my stuff here. I use Photoshop elements to make all of this junk.


So I've worked on this for the 2 hours immediately before making this thread. I made it for dramatic effect in the ASB... This is literally my first time spriting in years, and I must say I'm quite pleased. Sure, it's awful, but I got the Pokemon mugshot style somewhat right...


This was a project for my Photoshop class. That's me and my friend.

This was just me messing around when I first got my tablet.


I started this a while back and may resume it. It's overworld sprites in my style, using the Leafgreen/Firered palette.


Easily my favorite sprite I've ever made. I traced over a screenshot of Paras in the anime, then filled in with the BW palette. I really want to animate this now...
Here's Paras' actual BW sprite for comparison.


I was illustrating my ASB. It only took me like fifteen minutes. I'll try to do this often.

I say the mugshot sprite looks pretty good, and it's nice to have another artist in here (I'm not too keen on art. I prefer to just observe it).

...Actually, this stuff looks pretty nice. Simple, stylistic, and the last pic reminds me of Klonoa. I think it's the scarf.

Yeah, I was looking into that. I tried making some of the bigger legendaries, but then gave up. Should we just use their faces, I mean for the larger ones? No way is kyurem going to fit in 32x32 and still be recognizable.

Not bad! I rather like the vs sprite, but maybe you should curve the top of that first hair floof thing a bit more, it looks a little flat at the moment, and the shading around the neck looks a little pillowy, but that's easily fized by rearranging a few pixels. Other than that, I love the Paras sprite and the Photoshop experiment, and the little chibi experiment is adorable! You've made me want to start a thread, haha xD

...I don't know if I'm the best to ask a tutorial from, but I guess I can do it. The best thing is to draw out what you want first, then do a pixel over. This method is easy if you have a tablet.
