In Tin, the story will center around Lugia, and will have some big differences from Gold, Silver, and Brass. At the beginning of the game, both towers will still be standing, but a battle between the three legendary birds from Kanto moves into Johto and they accidentally burn the Tin Tower. Reports abound around the Johto region that a large white bird stopped the fight. When you get to the burned tower, you'll notice that Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres are asleep in its base, and when you go up to them they fly off and start roaming Johto. Lugia will now be residing in the Brass Tower, and you can go in and catch it after getting the Silver Wing, which you get just as you did in Silver. After getting the Rainbow Wing in Pewter City, you can catch Ho-oh at an all-new location in Johto. Maybe the summit of Mt. Mortar or something.
That way, those looking for nostalgia, and those looking for something new both have something to make them happy.
