Official 2nd Generation REMAKE Thread

Here's something I want: I want the people working on the GSC remake to consult the people who worked on GSC. Every time I play Fire Red I want to strangle the trainers whose quotes have been horribly mangled from their original version.

Example: "Don't get me wrong, I love fishing. But it'd also be good if I had more work."
You're seriously telling me nobody at NOA got the joke in a fisher saying "I'd rather be working"!? I need to go down there and slap some people.

Why, no, no I don't. I know what they say about sailors and fighting, though.

But gambling is bad for the kiddies! No child should ever hear about such a terrible thing. Why, that's almost as bad as cockfighting!

...Yeah. In all fairness, a proper GSC remake would be totally awesome; personally, though, I just hope that if it happens, it has a faster movement speed than DP. That's my only real gripe with generation four, but really it gets in the way. I'm pretty sure DP's even more vast than GSC was (despite being one region instead of two), but it'd still be irritating to play through the doubled space with lag.
