I believe I already posted a topic like this at one point.
So uhh, I guess v. whatever the hell it's up to and make it a poll?
Operating System bro.....not internet broswer
I myself have my PC and my mom's laptop networked and both running Win7. At the end of this week mine will be running Windows 7 Professional and hers will be running Home Premium (since upgrading my product key and reusing the old one on hers once it's free will be at least $50 cheaper than buying another copy of Win7 HP)

As far as I'm concerned, still using openSUSE 11.1 with GNOME. Though I am upgrading the next system I'm getting to 11.2 and I might consider Xfce.
Whatever, Vista then.
Windows 7.
I use Windows 7 as well, though it does have a few flaws, like no Wi-Fi support, which means I cannot use my DS for Wi-Fi in any of my Pokemon games, or the other non-Pokemon games I have that have Wi-Fi support >_<, it's pretty good nonetheless.

Any one?
To be continued....
I think he means support for the DS Wifi connector. I can't imagine an OS not supporting Wifi at all.

Yeah, exactly.
I have that white cable and the USB device that allow you to connect a DS via Wi-Fi, but I noticed Nintendo didn't make the Wi-Fi connection software compatible with Windows 7 yet, which bothers me.
Even with a wireless router that I'm getting internet from right now (thankfully without the need of a broadband connection like what was required previously for me to connect to the internet), I'm crossing my fingers Nintendo will release a Windows 7 compatible Wi-Fi connection thing for PC.

The lack of support for the WiFi Connector was the reason why I got Windows 7 Professional. Now I can use its XP mode to actually make the Connector work.

Hmm, I noticed I was able to get into the setup process for the connector after downloading the latest version of the software from Nintendo and having it run with compatibility for Windows XP, but near the end, just when it's almost installed, it tells me to connect the USB cable, but when I click on OK, it gives me an application error, and doesn't successfully install.

The problem is you gotta tinker around with it a bit. A lot of the times you're going to end up downloading work-arounds to get it to work.

I am using Windows XP. It means I am an XPerienced user with computers, as well as a cheeky fellow who likes to poke his tongue out XP
XP user here too!
And the funny thing is, the laptop that I'm using used to come with Vista, but I changed it after a few people have suggested so (this was about 3 years ago)
And now they're prodding me to change to 7, saying it's better than Vista.
Window ME was one of the most unstable, wasn't it? I used to be running my PC on it for a few years
Please take it easy~
But But But, ME-tan is so cute!! ;o;
Fedora 12 @ work
Windows 7 Prof @ laptop
XP @ home

I never even bothered with the Wi-Fi adapter since it was unavalible for so damn long. Just get a wireless router. Connect your ethernet cable to that, run a line on one of the ports to your PC and configure it. If you decide to encrypt it use WEP encryption since that's what the DS uses. Search for all avalible networks on your DS, connect to yours and type in the key if you enabled one and then you should be good to go.
On a related note if you have laptops capable of wireless internet you can set up a home network very easily with Seven. Never done it before in my life but all in all it took me about ten minutes![]()
Well, my new laptop is going to consist of 7. After 5 years of Windows XP - I was on 98 until 2005 LAWL (Tried ME for like a week and it sucked penis) - it will be a refreshing change. Is there some conspiracy with their home OS's? They have a repeating pattern of kewl-gay-kewl-gay?
3.1 (kewl)-95 (gay)-98 (kewl)-ME (gay)-XP (kewl)-Vista (gay)-7 (kewl?)
7 is OKAY, it's still graphics heavy though it's definitely better than Failsta.
I played around on Windoze Seven on my sister's laptop when she visited a few weeks ago. Hated it.
Windows XP, Vista Sucks and I don't wanna get 7.

I still think that the few people who still complain about Seven are those that got use to XP. Compared to Vista I rarely hear people complain about it. Vista's main issue is that it is a resource hog. If you have memory sitting idle it actually actively looks for something for the memory to do. While I do admit that I myself haven't really used Vista I have had friends that had it. The resources it uses for even minor little things is insane. I don't have numbers from Vista to back anything up. However I'm sure someone else with a similar system can get them. With Seven I had task manager open with just IE and WMP open. CPU was only using 2% (it's a 2 GHz AMD 64 bit duel core) while I was only using 32% of my RAM (3 GB max). Finally as I use Aero graphics settings with glass enabled I'm sure my graphics card helps a bit on that too (Nvidia 8800 GT, 512 MB of video memory)
I do admit that after years of using XP that Seven did take a bit of getting use to. However now I actually find it harder to go back to using an XP based Windows system than I do a Seven system. In the rare cases at work that I have to use other Windows apps I actually find myself trying to do things the Seven way and then getting confused when they don't work
Oh and if for some reason you don't like the look of Seven or find that Aero eats up too many resources on a system with a weak graphics card just bear in mind that like XP you can set it to the classic Windows 95/98 look. I do however find it surprising that the Luna style from XP isn't avalible as a skin.
