Arena: Icy Pond

A snow covered forest with a large frozen pond that extends in all directions around 200 feet resting at the center. Pokemon can stand on the pond easily, but if not careful, can sometimes slip on the icy surface. Ice-types and Pokemon that are off the ground can keep their traction, preventing this factor from occuring.

Also, the ice can be a tad fragile, breaking and revealing the freezing water below. A heavy weighing Pokemon or an attack hitting the ice can break it. This ice can not be replenished naturally, but it may be possible for certain moves to freeze the water, recreating some traversable ice. While a Pokemon can survive in the freezing water below the ice, unless they are a Water or Ice-type, they will slowly take minor damage if they stay in the chilling waters.


Challenger may choose who sends out first, then the other person gets the first attack.

We begin this round with Wii and BT meeting at their rendezvous in this cold...Frosty Forest, perhaps? Well, only until we see an Absol. Wii sends out a Leavanny and a Solosis, whilst BT opts for a Ralts and a Mienfoo.

We now begin with Taylor making a first move, using Razor Leaf and slicing up Sake. A few wayward ones strike Rosalinda, but not enough to be too distracting. Sake responds by causing snow capped rocks to trap Taylor, lowering his speed. Then, Rosalinda steps in a causes a chilling wind to slow down Taylor. It does the same to Jelly too. Jelly frowns, feeling cold and creates strange pink orbs that slam into Rosalinda. It's not very effective...but at least he gets STAB.

Even with the decreased speed, Taylor is just slightly faster! He goes up to Sake and slashes him good and proper with sharp air. Yeah, of course it makes sense. Sake responds by jumping high into the air. Rosalinda puts on her charms towards Jelly, making him have hearts in the eyes and stops him from using his attack. Love is such a cruel mistress. Or is that gravity?

Rosalinda focuses her mental abilities in preparation for an attack from Jelly. But it never comes. He's just admiring her from a distance.

We begin this round with Taylor attempting to blend into the white, icy background. Were he a bit faster, he would have successfully blended in without getting trapped under a few rocks, courtesy of Sake. Taylor blended in fully and moved out of the way. Rosalinda then glows and Sake also glows, being now protected from status moves. Jelly is still attracted to Rosalinda and decides to create a Substitute. But the sub is of Rosalinda, not Jelly and is more of a statue. Okaaay. Jelly finally snaps out of it and admires his work.

Sake, now the fastest of them all, now wonders why there are two Rosalinda. He shakes his head and tries to find Taylor. In the vast ice lake...ness it would be almost impossible to find them. Just then, he sees a streak of ice being thrown into the air. That was Taylor, moving away using Agility. Sake considered following, but the ice was slightly damaged where Taylor had been, so he didn't want to risk it. He instead creates a strange barrier, protecting both him and Rosalinda from physical stuff. Meanwhile, Rosalinda admires her statue and sends a strange orby thing at Jelly. It messes with his mind, but he still manages to melt away into the ice and increase his defense. Unlike Taylor, he doesn't vanish.

Taylor is now the more faster of the four and begins sharpening his leaves...claws...flippers. Sake does similar boosts and performs an ancient dance, the meaning of which has been lost due to stuff, I'm guessing. Rosalinda goes out and looks for Taylor, but doesn't find him, so she closes her eyes and enters into a Rest induced sleep. Jelly is still confused but convinces himself to focus his mind and increase his stats. Doing so also snaps him out of it. Taylor's camouflage fades, but remains the same type.

Taylor is smacked by it and his new type hurts! MEANWHILE, Rosalinda snores very loudly, hurting the eardrums of Jelly, who somehow has eardrums. Jelly doesn't seem to mind as he sends Sake floating into the air.

Taylor follows on his attack with his speedy speed and slashes at Sake. Nope, that's not gonna happen. Sake's got a barrier to protect him as he vulnerably floats in the air. Rosalinda mumbles in her sleep and glows a strange yellow. Jelly also does the same and a connection is put between the two. Now, they both have the others abilities abilities. That's...pretty cool. Jelly fires a ghost ball at Rosalinda, which then falls apart, being a Sub and all. Another thing that goes is the protective barrier.

Taylor again tries to get the jump on Sake, but he strikes first with a much stronger move. That would have hurt more if Taylor was the right type, but Sake is, so it hurts, that's for sure. Rosalinda snores some more and Jelly is still hurt. To make him feel better, Jelly chucks a shadow like ball thing at Rosalinda. Huzzah for damage! This wakes her up quickly.
