***I didnt right this, a person from toywiz posted it and then I posted it here***
November 15th, 2004.
" Represenitives from WB Kids Entertainment, have hearby annouced that the Yugioh Telivision show will be taken off the air, due to many complaints from parents. Many parents are concerned that the show promotes witch craft and is not an appropriate show for children under the age of 12.
Woody Monroe, Chairman and Cheif Executive Officer or WB TV, made has concluded that it will be taken off the air following the current season.
Sandra Fleak, Chairman and CEO, of 4-Kids entertainment, says that the TV show is edited thousands of times to rid offensive comments and coarse language.
Mary Littleton, resident of Palm Springs, Florida. Told the press that her son was fond of the show for quite some time. She had no idea that it was promoting witch craft until she viewed it on her own.
"The show is just not right for kids, after my son's fourth nightmare I decided to confiscate all his cards and block the TV show on my parental control. Its just not a childrens show, and I was even more astonished when I looked at the names of his cards, horrible. The should not be feeding this to our youth. I want the cards removed from the shelves."
Jerry Benington, Vice President of Upper Deck Entertainment (the manufacturer of the cards) says that just like the TV show the cards are edited time after time. He says that Yugioh is no where near offensive to him. "
XD That gave me a chuckle. I posted it here for (A) Humor and (B) For any of this animes fanboys. I think that the WB is stopping it because of one soccor mom but hay, its there lose. There just pissing away money.
