“I don’t think you understand, young man. We don’t allow Pokemon on this vessel, so your little ruse was completely pointless. Now, I’ll have to ask you to come with me.” It grips your left shoulder and pulls you away from the staircase.

Flaaffy moves around to join its comrade, and the two Pokemon focus further attacks on the same point. Bulbasaur’s Petal Dance and Flaaffy’s Swift bash the stone, sending far greater clouds of dust into the air than before.

You catch a glimpse of the rock as the mess clears and see that it’s been dented. Sneasel yawns.

I'll say that regardless of whether or not Pokemon are allowed on, they are on anyway. I will proceed to call out my Spiritomb, Turner Grey, and tell gengar that I caught Turner on this very boat.

You protest the Gengar’s statement and send out your Spiritomb. Gengar immediately backs away in terror.

“You… that… it can’t be. Pokeballs don’t… they can’t catch… I saw him board… lower deck… room 215… brought his family…”

The Gengar twitches and glares at you, though whether it’s from rage or fear is hard to say. “How did you… how could your Pokeballs work that way? How could they catch anything other than Pokemon? What manner of demon are you?”

Your Pokemon continue their attacks relentlessly, but they don't seem to be doing much damage. And the projectiles seem to be flying in smaller number as time goes on. Sneasel looks toward the spectacle and gives you an odd look.

Oookay, crazy Gengar. I'll tell the Gengar that I'm human and the machine I'm using identifies Pokemon and tells me information about them. A lot of trainers use them. I will then ask Turner what species he, Turner, is and what species Gengar is. I'll also release my Probopass, Alastor, and have him do the same thing.

Rolling your eyes, you ask Turner what species it is. “A Spiritomb. What’s it look like?”

“And what species is that one, over there?”

“That’s a Gengar. I’m not an encyclopedia, you know.”

Gengar stares at you and your Pokemon incredulously. “You’ve gone mad, sir! Completely mad! I am not a Pokemon!” It grumbles. “I don’t care what sort of thing you are. This has gone too far.”

You try to stop the Gengar, but it bellows “SECURITY!” in an ear-splitting roar…

The Sneasel frowns at your request. “I asked you to do it because I want a trainer whose skill is above mine. That’s the only way I can truly improve. Besides, I even allowed you to use any two Pokemon of your choice. I’m just one Sneasel, and we aren’t usually the type to tear apart stone.”

Glancing around the room, you recall the large, open passage; the small, dark hole, and the route from which you entered.
