As Lucas's afortmentioned Wikipedia entry states:

Lucas was also supposed to replace Ness in Super Smash Bros. Melee but due to Mother 3 being delayed, Ness stayed. Lucas has been confirmed as a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

This can be further confirmed by looking at Ness's entry at the official Japanese "Melee" site (I've taken the liberty of running that aforementioned link through Google Translate...don't blame me for the wacky Engrish, though!).

I dunno. I looked at the British site this morning (to confirm what I saw you said), and sure enough...no comm videos. Same with the other European sites (German, French, Spanish, and Italian).

Yes, Trophies...today's entry mainly focuses on the new Excitebike AT (which is in the form of a bunch of little 2D bikers who ride around and run into people...keen! ), but in the same place, Lakitu was also confirmed as a 2D AT who throws Spinies down at people.

I've been watching the site ever since its relaunch. I wasn't too happy with Snake until the update with the videos. The 3rd video of him getting information was the best one ever. XD Today's update looked quite fun! I can't wait to run over other players. It's getting harder to wait until the game's launch with some of these awesome updates.

Smashboards is hardly worth it. It's a huge community, but it's flooded with useless 'suggested moveset' topics and hundreds of pages of people arguing why their character should be in.
Annoying, but every now and then you'll find some worthwhile conversational topics.

Today's update made it even more painful to wait for Dec. 2 to freeze my butt off outside of a Best Buy for this game. Ashley's Theme sounds like an awesome song for the WarioWare stage! I was wondering what the song would have been. At first, I thought that it would have played the original song for each individual microgame.

...They've gone and done it now. All I'll say before I run from the violent battle between the haters and the fanboys that is sure to ensue is that I never cared either way. (I did always like the SA2 soundtrack, though, so the music is cool.) Though it is interesting that they didn't introduce him last. Whoever said that they'd do it was right; everything after this is going to be pretty anticlimactic, barring the introduction of either Kratos/Zelos or Felix... and that's just for me personally. Anyone who's not rabidly hoping for the inclusion of any other characters is going to be a little bored with the updates from now on.

...Okay, I'm not done. Ahem. We also have conformation about Warp Stars and Snorlax coming back as well as the additions of Torchic and Kyogre. Mmm, Warp Stars and Snorlax. We all knew it was coming, but now? A random Wednesday in October? But it looks like Sonic was already confirmed at the Fall '07 Conference, so I guess it makes sense to reconfirm him at the Dojo, otherwise Sakurai would have angry mobs questioning why he hasn't posted Sonic yet. Sure this was the "big one", but all this update really was was a character profile, I'm still looking forward to movesets (Sonic's and others), final smashes, items, and stages. There's still plenty of info left with only a little more than a month and a half to go.
