Hullo, folks, and, as your co-host, I'd like to welcome you all to the next stage of the 2007 (yes, that's the right year) Silver Pencil Awards!

Thanks to everyone who contributed in the Suggestions Topic during December. We've added some of your ideas for Award Categories to this year's ballot, though some of them have been renamed, reworked, and generally disguised.

Now, the awards are in full swing: we've reached the Nominations stage. This is where we need you to tell us which fics and writers you find worthy of recognition!

A lot of you will be familiar with the Awards process; for those who aren't, it's easy to do, and anyone can nominate. Basically, you can make one nomination per category for as many or as few categories as you wish. The only restriction to keep in mind is that you can't self-nominate: it's just not cricket.

Any nominations can be posted in this thread; as can any questions, complaints, general congratulations to the hosts, and so on. Without further ado, here are this year's categories:

To answer your question, that category was created to cover all 'created' pokemon - or "fakemon", like you said. Personalities would come under the other character awards like 'Best Character in a Leading Role', etc.

@Blade: Ah yeah, those... haven't been studying astronomy much since - man, not another paycut! ;_;

@MoP: AFAIK, there isn't any specific rules that state all the fics must be updated since the last award. Take a look at the last few awards, for example. There are one shots that were written about a year and a half before the said award (it was last year's SP award, IIRC) that have received nomination. As long as the fic's not posted like, say, two to three years ago since the last award, then it's all game.
