Jay? As in Jay Jay, the guy that used to be a famous Goldenrod Tower worker in AC/CC? No offence here, but I thought I saw the last of you, some people that leave are too easy to move on from, heck, I still go there from time to time, but wishing I was a worker there again...no way jose, there's more to being a worker in a game, PCG or AC/CC if you do other things in real life or on the computer...that's one of the reasons I left Pokemon Hangman behind, but not the biggest reason. A major crash made me lose track of what plushies I won, and I eventually decided playing the game was no longer worth it, I mean, I used to be called a "hair trigger" due to my speedy side in the game, so I guess that's one of my best memories of TPM's past. Times definitely have been changing here.

Assuming you're Jay or Kiyone or whoever I'm probably wasting my time actually arguing this but I'm bored and I noticed a few interesting things.

First of all, you guys are known to complain about how TPM is nothing like it used to be, so wouldn't "TPM memories" be your topic? Hell, for instance even if in your opinion the fact that banning all these people who brought "amass zeal" to this place killed TPM, the fact the they used to be here doesn't qualify as a "TPM memory"? Thank you for that self owning.

And I'm sure SPPf's Misc forum is more exciting than this because SPP has a greater number of active users which equals more discussion. I wouldn't doubt that it's more exciting than this. I personally was opposed to creating the entertainment forum because of the level of activity concerning the amount of members, but oh well. Still though, SPP has more active users because it's a thriving Pokemon site. TPM was a thriving site, and I'm willing to accept the fact that it's not one anymore, but it's become more of a close-knit community for the vets and people from before 2003, of course with a few new members popping up every now and then. If that offends you, then I suggest you go see a therapist.

There can't really be much to attract new members as opposed to SPP, I mean it's not like we have much left besides the fact that these forums do come up on google a lot, but honestly who gives a shit.

Why would I waste my time making a 'serious' post about TPM's highlights when you guys keep trying to lock us out? Having said that, I'm amazed some of you still take the effort and time to keep us out of a dead forum. Have you guys ever considered that you'd probably benefit more from allowing us to post since it's quite clear you don't want this place to be truly desolate? Apparently not, but then again I don't really care. I just enjoy watching you guys digging your own graves and how you still can't work out why TPM went downhill so quickly.

I'm talking about the quality of members, not quantity - we all know SPP was superior in that regard. Once upon a time, TPM used to thrive because it had many quality members that made it a standout from SPP. Clearly the most interesting of members, even though we've had our issues, were kurai, woz and co. These members became bored with this forum and were most likely driven away by the asininity spell this forum fell under. A significant blow, but not enough to deem TPM "dead" as there was still a large variety of members here. You've then got their spinoffs (kiyone, shazza, etc.) who we all know never got along well with the administrators, and it was that banishment spree that sent TPM down the crapper. It's apparent that none of you have learned since you're still banning people who are trying to bring back the lost amusement, but it's a fruitless endeavour at best.

Nowadays, as a result, TPM has no interesting topics and no interesting members whatsoever. Why? Because you threw them out and thought you accomplished a lot by doing so. Now you've got some of the blandest people I've ever seen on the Internet talking about some of the blandest and most overdone topics, I can't see how even you guys could deny this fact. TPM is now basically a lesser version of BMG, and that's pretty bad. And trust me, I've been part of MANY online communities and I've met hundreds and hundreds of people. I know what I'm talking about. I'm particularly disappointed with how shazza decided to conform to your stereotypical "mature and bland" TPMer persona that all of you so dearly advocate. That was basically TPM's only hope of reopening the gateway to bringing back these members, if they cared, since TPM would have at least one active person with the traits this forum is in dire need of.

I think any signs of maturity I have gained over the past couple of years is due to real life experiences which might be reflected on this message board. TPM has had no influence.

I do agree with you on the fact the topics are bland and boring. The only topics I enjoy are nostalgic topics because it played a huge part of my childhood, and I like to reminisce. It's not a crime.

Hey as far as I know, Jay is and will always be banned from TPM. If things change and the mods or who ever decide he can come back, then he will be back. Personally I do not want to see him come back. He is a ass hole, he is a spammer, and worst of all he is a very poor hacker. I and others have already been IM hacked by Jay, which can make trying to do stuff via IM very annoying. Having delt with that, and still having to deal with that with him every once and a while. I would rather see him never come back, the kid has no real life and seems to have a very unhealthy obsession with TPM and it's members.

It amazes me how people are still convinced it was a handful of members at TPM that made it what it was. The arrogance and self-delusion behind statements like that are incredible. Surely then, if it was just a couple of members, then they could create their own forum and have GREAT SUCCESS.
We grew up. It's as simple as that. It was a lot of people, more than just the ever-so cherished handful, who were mostly at the same point in their lives, brought together by Pokemon and kept together by anything else they felt the need to discuss. Eventually, people grew up and left for more fruitful endeavours. The elimination of a proper site stopped any new people from coming in.
...And wtf when was woz banned? I really need to pay more attention.

You'll have members who just follow everything that everybody else is doing, and you'll have members who are controversial and exciting. The latter are the members who make the forum what it is as they are the most stellar and influential. It's the same with any forum.

Caused trouble? It depends how you see it. Chris should be thankful that the 'open hole' in Simple Machines was abused by somebody with no profound knowledge of hacking, otherwise a lot worse would have been done to that security flawed shitfest that was SMF. If I told him what was wrong with SMF, he wouldn't have listened to me anyway since he acts like he's king of the Internet with a pole up his asshole.
