Exclamation "Limbo of the Lost": The Most Unoriginal Game *EVAR*!

I've just learned on BeyondUnreal about an adventure game called "Limbo of the Lost" that's rather...special.

    How, you ask?

Some people complain that developers have run out of ideas. But when it comes to unoriginality, "Limbo of the Lost" TRULY takes the cake...apparently, the developers plagiarized a bunch of stuff from other games and movies!

Limbo of the Lost from Tri Synergy and Majestic Studios is fast becoming a lawsuit target. Thanks to Game Plasma for noticing the blatant lifting of entire Oblivion environments, some further scrutiny has revealed apparent asset theft from Unreal Tournament 2004, Thief, and more. Below are a pair of shots depicting theft of assets from an Unreal Tournament 2004 custom level - DM-Aristocracy.

The game has already been pulled by its publisher, according to GameSpot.

I've read a topic at the BU Forums about it (among other things about it), and I think that this is one of THE funniest/saddest things I've ever seen in my life. What do you think?

That's fucked up, but in terms of not only unoriginality, but OUTRAGEOUS plagiarism that deserves - at the very least (I opt for burning at the stake, myself.) - to be sued and completely shut down over, nothing can compare to a certain infamous atrocity concocted by the one group of hypocritical lunatics on the planet who could give even Scientologists a run for their money.

And animal rights activists wonder why people think they're lunatics. Seriously, just present your opinions in an organised manner, none of this childish pandering. Or shall we observe this more accurately? ...Lovable little birdies fighting a big evil power that must be stopped at all costs... in a delightful game that kiddies can enjoy... Yes sir, we call that propaganda.

Anyhow, I can't believe that the people behind LotL thought they'd actually be able to get away with that... Obsessive nerds are scouring video games for anything they can point out, from the tiniest little coincidences to Yoshi asking Mario 'It that really you?'. Stealing graphics? Come on, that'd never fly. Though I do credit them for thieving from Thief. That's a fun idea.

In that regard let's not forget about the Great Giana Sisters, a 1987 game originally for the C64 home computer system. The game was an apparent Super Mario Bros. rip off and Nintendo successfully sued the makers of GGS.

When I showed this game to my Dad that evening, he wanted to know that, too!
