That's not true. You can transfer pokémon from 3rd Gen to 4th Gen, but not from 4th to 3rd, so the people who got all pokémon in Emerald have achieved exactly what they were trying to achieve at the time. Completing the National Dex in Emerald. A GSC remake won't help with that any.
