Name: Saotome Rei
Age: 11
Gender: Female
Deck Type: Maiden Deck
Cards: See Attachment
Description: Saotome is one of the youngest known duelists and is considered a bit of a genius in her dueling skills due to her young age. She has very long dark brown hair that trails almost all the way down her back, she tends to be small for her age, only 4'8" and can pass for some one much younger. She has a boyish figure and could easily be mistaken for a boy while wearing her blue baseball cap. She has traded in her duelist academy red dorm jacket in favor of a blue jacket with dark blue highlights and a white undershirt, that along with her blue jeans tend to confuse most that she is a boy.
History: Rei has had a adventurous life so far, having been introduced to duel monsters at a young age she grew frustrated with having to grow old enough to take the entrance exam to the High School Duel Academy and snuck in to try and pass herself off as a boy student. She was eventually found out and expelled from the school under the promise she would get to return as one of the higher ranked duelists there when she was old enough. Several months later she dropped out of school with out her parents knowledge, instead focusing her time on tournament play believing that she would be the first to enroll in the duel academy as one of if not the highest rank student there.
Other: Most of the time she keeps her hair hidden under her hat, coming off as a boy so that her opponents wont go easy on her

Name: Jason Karrde
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Deck Type: Beat Ground
Cards: See Attachment
Description: He's very tall and lanky, some one that looks like they should be playing Basketball and not card games. His hair is a deep dark brown and incredibly messy, the back tied up in a small pony tail, he tends to grow it out to avoid haircuts. He wears a dark blue American Football Jersey over his shirt, with the a large white number 70 on the front and black. He keeps his deck in a case attached to his belt, which seems to hang a bit lopsided on his hips almost gunslinger style.
History: Jason was a late edition to the Duel Monsters card game, having become interested in it after being shown the basics in High School. Early on he found a unique strategy with a pair of cards, and has continued to revolve his deck around it. The combination of field clearing and locking proved to be a hit, frustrating his opponents to the point that he easily moved up the ranks in the local tournament scene.
Other: He is a bit of a sadist, enjoying the annoyance his deck causes his opponents

Saotome Rei
Star Chips: None/40

Rei surveyed the field, it was a three on one challenge, one in which she was close to winning, all that remained was two pesky face down cards that could put a cramp into her plans for three direct attacks to finish the duel. She gazed down at her hand, letting a few strands of hair slip into her eyes before jerking her face back up to look at her opponents.

“Draw” She commanded, pulling the card from her duel desk, a slight smile crept across her face as she slid her card into the activation slot. “I play Heavy Storm!” A gust of imaginary wind swept across the field, as the two face down trap cards disappeared in a burst of digital sparkles.

She quickly pulled the third card from her hand, activating it as the tall noble ‘D.D. Warrior Lady’ was summoned to the field. “D.D. attack player one, Breaker attack player three, and…” She smirked slightly knowing this was the ultimate insult to a school age boy. “Maiden attack player two”

In one swoop all three young boys lost their life points ending the duel as the school bell rang signifying the end of lunch. Rei quickly repacked her duel disk into her backpack and made her trek back inside, wiping a bit of sweat from her brow. The three duelists were amateurs to her; the only way they presented any challenge was for them to face her in a group.

By the time the last bell rang for the school day her mind was analyzing the duel again, their tactics were amateur, their cards pathetic, none of them ranked up with her experience at the Duel Academy a few months ago, none of them ranked up with Judai.

She allowed her daydreams to walk her home, her head full of wishful dreams of wearing the Duel Academy jacket again, of being among worthy duelists, of those that could provide a challenge and even provide her defeats. She let out a sorrowful sigh as she reached home, the sight as well as the sight of a large bulky letter sticking out of her family’s mail box catching her attention.

She snatched it up and worked her fingers across the seal as she read the letter stapled to the door. Her parents had left again, off on another business journey to work on opening overseas markets in china. “Thanks guys..” She groaned as the envelop ripped open, the contents inside falling onto the ground.

She let out a surprise yelp noticing the star chips on the ground, or at least what she thought were star chips she hadn’t seen them outside of the computer articles about the old Pegasus tournament.

“Rei Saotome. You have been invited to partake in a game of endurance. Included in this letter is a map and stair chips. The game will be Duel Monsters primarily, but many others will be incorporated to test your skill. As you read this, many others will be opening their letters. Should you choose to accept, you must leave now. Tickets have been included-“ The letter read, the young girl’s eyes re read it a second and then a third time, no one but a select few knew about her journey to the academy, and she wasn’t ranked in any significant tournaments, how did this person know about her?

Rei looked back at the letter hanging on the door and then back at the letter. She picked up the tickets up off the ground and placed the rest of the stuff in her book bag. “Sorry mom, looks like I have a place to go too”

Will post the other character later.
