PLEASE not green and purple. I don't want a Joker-themed forum here. I wouldn't mind purple myself, although VG took my favorite color, red…now that it's actually RED instead of some awful purplish-pink trying to fake being red.

Personally, I'd like it to stay blue, though. Maybe make it a lighter or darker shade to differentiate from the rest of the forum.

I think this would have gone much better if it was a poll (with the list of possible choices at the top).

Anyway, for the colour, hmm, what about dark red? Not too dark or light, but maybe in the range of brick red might work, but that's just my opinion.

Honestly I don't care for idea of the color changes at all--I find it quite unnecessary for each of the forums to "look different"--but if there must be a new color scheme then please, just nothing bright. A silver/gray, purple or dark red, maybe a dark green, would be nice. I don't really care because I'm not going to like it either way, so as long as it isn't eyebleed neon or anything like that.

Or pink. Heads will roll if there is any shade or hue of pink.

ASB is about the battling. It's only fitting that the most ultimate battler's colors are flown.

Which gives me a better idea, actually... My Blaziken is named Rawk Hawk, after the Glitz Pit champion. That dude has a seriously blinged-out champion's belt. GOLD.

Gold however, would rock for 3 reasons.
1) Gold would look nice cause its not too bright

And blue isn't really that masculine of a color, especially not the color scheme we have. Masculine would be more like dark reds, browns and/or greens, I think. What we really need is to find the old ASB logo because that should tell us what color scheme ASB had. *goes off and searches*

The purple and blue combo is quite nice, might I suggest a slightly darker shade of the purple so it doesn't stand out to much from the forums background.

I agree with Ayeun here, if there was an option to view whatever colour(s) one of us wanted to see for ASB, and maybe other forums, I think that would be easier, just as long as regardless what colour(s) one person chooses to see the forum in, that another person has the ability to choose what colour(s) they want to see the forum in, without having any effect on the colour(s) chosen by the first person (e.g. if Ayeun got to see the page in pink and white, and I got to see the page in any shade of red and some other colour, I think everyone would be happy).

I've seen this kind of thing in another forum, sort of, so why not give it a shot?

Might you have seen it on this very forum before? TPM used to have the option to change CSS style sheets for the entire board before, it was just ages ago. I'm sure vB has the ability, but then there lies the problem of writing up an entire style sheet for all the colors that people most want.

Although, admittedly, the biggest problem with the old selector was that it had one style that was basically a negative version of the site (as in all the blacks were white, etc.) which caused a problem for people posting with differing font colors.

However, since people seem to be liking the purple/blue combo, here are a couple darker-purple examples (don't forget, the blue can change too):

The slightly darker purple looks the better of the two, just dark enough to blend in but not too dark as to be distracting. Also it looks really ghostly.

I like the slightly darker Purple. The really darker purple is bomb diggity too, but it makes the white stand out that much more. Blue needs to go away. I guess I'm just tired of seeing blue.

As for the CSS sheet, wouldn't you just hafta make one...and then give them out to whomever wanted to see a different color? Then they'd just edit it with the color they wanted, and boom, less work for you? In fact, since this is VB, shouldn't this color option set be already available since you're already tinkering with the colors as is VP?
