Hammer
And just as quickly as Hammer had taken the upper hand, his advantage disappeared.
SHINGG...SHINGSHINGGG....SHINGGGGGGGGGGG
Rothax's fury had reached full force. Hammer, unable to react quickly enough, was caught in the middle of a ferocious combo attack. Blow after blow struck his body as the alien's powerful claws ripped and slashed at his green flesh. His body was absorbing the attacks, but he could feel his energy draining. Desperate to end the horrible barrage, he felt the ground close beneath him. Lowering his foot to use the ground as a brace, he planted and put all his strength into a counter punch, landing in the middle of Rothax's chest and sending him back into the air. Though he had landed his punch, Rothax remained in control of his body, quickly halting his backward progress and floating gently back to the ground a mere 10 yards from Hammer.
"You might have stopped the attack for now Namek, but you are only prolonging your suffering," Rothax said confidently, "You'd be better off just laying down and dying."
Rothax began to walk toward Hammer again, slowly and ominously in deliberate steps. Hammer, blood dripping from multiple wounds, panted heavily and tried to focus his vision.
Damn it, that took alot out of me. I can't let it end this way though. I can't let a tyrant like this unleash evil on the universe like Frieza did!
Hammer's head jerked up, his body straight up at full height. He clenched both his fists firmly and straightened his arms at a downward angle, a light wind beginning to swirl around him. Rothax stopped and looked at Hammer for a moment, slightly puzzled.
"Hm? What's this?" He thought out loud, watching and waiting for Hammer's next move.
Diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii....
Hammer's voice started low and slowly increased in volume. Rothax continued to watch.
"Oooh, a special attack! I can't wait to see this." Rothax almost sounded excited. The winds swirling around Hammer increased as the energy continued to build. Hammer's eyes shot open, glowing a fiery red.
ZHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!
Hammer's energy climaxed with a bang, as he let out a roar to unleash the attack. He raised his right fist high above his head, slamming it down into the earth with incredible force. The ground cracked and crumbled around him, creating a shallow crater stretching several yards around him. Beginning lightly and increasing in intensity, the ground began to shake. As the area quaked, Rothax stumbled a moment and had to regain his footing.
"What the hell?!" He exclaimed, taking his focus off Hammer for the briefest of moments. At that very same moment, Hammer jerked upright again, his hands raised high above his head.
"RRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" Hammer let out an equally earth shaking bellow, as his attack began to culminate.
Without warning, a massive wave of energy shot out of the ground at Rothax's feet. Not being able to sense its approach, Rothax was unprepared and caught the blow directly in the midsection.
"OOMPH!" he grunted, bending slightly only to catch the next waves in the face.
Blast after blast struck Rothax as massive chunks of earth and stone burst and disintegrated around him. As the final waves of energy crashed into him, Rothax stumbled backward and fell to the ground in a cloud of dust. Hammer, having completed his attack, relaxed again into his battle stance. He was uneasy though, as he could sense Rothax stirring underneath the rubble. He then felt energy--horrible energy--drastically beginning to rise. The earth began to shake again, this time much more violently than during Hammer's Di Zhu attack. A rumble was heard from below, gradually growing into a blood-curdling roar. In a monstrous blast of energy, huge boulders and tons of dirt flew in all directions as if a meteor had landed. Hammer crossed his arms in front of his face to shield himself from the debris. As the blast subsided and the dust began to clear, Hammer could see Rothax in the middle of the crater, with barely a scratch on him.
"WHAT!? NO WAY!" Hammer shouted, for what he saw in that crater was a horror beyond imagination.
I deliberately left it ambiguous so Blade could decide what to do with Rothax next. If he wants to go to his next form now he can, or he can wait and do something else with the situation. I wanted to extend the battle a bit longer to give the other subplots more time to develop. Now let's all get posting!
