That IS a rather interesting story. PokeWalkers are unique to a game so if you lose it the game can pretty much never connect to another one again unless 1. The PokeWalker's never connected to a game and 2. The game itself is reset.

Yeah pretty much.

Not exactly. I know there's a way to get back the pokemon that you put on a pokewalker, since the game "remembers" that pokemon. That feature's there just in case the pokewalker gets lost or broken, so I'm pretty sure there's a way to connect the game to a new pokewalker.
