Hi guys,
As some of you may be aware of, Gabi (Lady Vulpix) and I have been both working on trying to get the Adopted & Captured Pokemon sub-forum (under GGG) to be more active...a few days ago, I posted a poll in the Goldenrod Tower topic about reviving it, and we both figured that poll should be extended to here so more people can see it and voice their opinions.
If AC/CC was getting revived, and you wanted to help with its revival, what thing(s) would you want to see added, deleted, or changed? Why?
Now, I already answered this poll in Goldenrod Tower, and as such, my answer was to have a new room in the PokeZoo Battle Tower topic where people could have L50 battles with their Pokemon (the Pokemon would have their levels set to 50 for the duration of the battle, regardless of their real levels, in this way, if one Pokemon was a much higher level than the other, this room would make it possible for them to battle without it being one-sided)...as of now, this feature isn't the only thing that has been added to the AC/CC sub-forum, we also now have a database where you can keep track of all the Pokemon you've adopted and/or captured, as well as the items you have. It was created mainly for the reason that many people in AC/CC lost their AC/CC websites (the ones on Geocities) after Geocities was taken down, and for anyone who decides on adopting a Pokemon from either the Dragon Tamers Adoption Center or PokeZoo Adoption Center, it's a good idea to record your progress there, especially if you don't have your own website.
If there's anyone here that wants to join our sub-forum (newbies to TPM are certainly welcome to adopt a Pokemon), the Dragon Tamers Information Center and the Adopted & Captured Pokemon FAQ can provide you with some info on how the sub-forum works.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is the difference between your AC/CC and ASB?

After taking a good read at AA/CC I can safely say its NOT like ASB at all Ay. That's the good thing. From what I've surmised, AC/CC is a place where you can utilize formulated battle systems, like the old school pre-netbattle days (That's what it reminds me of, those chat formulaic battle bots) for adopted and captured Pokemon, but they impose limits on how many Pokemon can be owned by a person, what moves can be used and items that can be used with a Pokemon.
Its has a stronger..connected feel then ASB in that sense since you can't just DUMP Pokemon and what not-all your choices are based on how well you pick your Pokemon and how you spend your points as they level slowly. There's no leveling in ASB-which is also a major difference-as the moves you have are accessed via each level-which is actually kinda cool (plus a few quirks about the Egg and Tutor Moves)
All you AC/CC vets please clarify my own summarization of it, I'm sure I'm missing something x_x.

I'd take the advice and quit![]()
Andrew, it was a reference to a GGG game Knight of Time started, in case you didn't notice. I'm ruining my own attempts of jokes today.
Hey, if someone wrote me a REALLY basic explanation what to do, I'd join.
^What he said.
Go to an adoption center. Find a Pokemon you like. Adopt it. Name it. Love it. How you go from there is up to you. BTW, if you can't find a Pokemon you like, there are a few members who are willing to breed theirs for you. As long as it's not Dratini.
I love AC/CC because it captures the excitement of hatching, raising, and evolving that I don't get from ASB. I can treat Pokemon like characters with their own personalities. I can win them moves that they can't learn in the games. That's why I keep returning, and why I wish I can figure out Angelfire so I can get my darn webpage back up!

Andrew, if someone told you to quit being a cunt, would you take their advice?
Yes this is a poll, but you probably should have posted it in GGG anyway (regardless of whether people like Gabi insist on being all technical), because:
-It relates to something there,
-You're more likely to get useful advice there, because people who frequent there might not necessarily be here, and vice versa, and as Andrew has just proven my point, you're asking the wrong people.
So I'm gonna move it.
In 20 years, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook will merge together into one super big time-wasting site called YouTwitFace.
We're not going to Guam... are we?
To put it very simply, AC/CC is sort of like what would happen if you fused roleplaying and ASB, though it's much more heavily weighted towards RP than ASB.
Like CC said. Get Pokemon. Then, you get them to grow through RP-style posts, or in video-game-esque battles. Or win them prizes that make them stronger. Etc., etc.
Hey you guys are actually reviving it! Excellent!
On a side note: I'm not agreeing with Zak on the moving part. The only reason I saw this Poll in the first place (and the reason why I joined AC/CC recently) is because it was up in Misc. It reaches a wider audience.
That is all.
