Right well not long after I posted that and thought about the post I realized I made a mistake but by the time I had gotten back online you already posted, and all I see is no refunds but nothing about the Pokéball getting destroyed but yeah I guess it was idiotic of me to think that we got to keep them for for a latter visits, but I guess in my case it dose make some sense, however I'm just sorry Crazy wasted two points on me on me...

But Ironically one of the thoughts that ran threw my head before posting was to destroy it however I was going to open it up and physically snap it in half not have a tree do the dirty work for me.

Another thought was to throw in a bush and hope it cough a random Pokémon or an egg.

another thought was to have Trill use persecute on Mr Slaps three times while I look for Sirius which is probably what I should have done in the first place.

True this was nothing like the Mistake Ayeun made with Darkrai, it's just not how I wanted to end, but yeah despite my complaining I do think you did a good job, and now that I think about it I'm thankful that you made me run into a Rhyperior since it had been one of the Pokémon I was looking for so was Grimer as a mater of fact...

but yeah I'll go back to losing that's about the only thing I'm good at since I truly am the King of N00BS!

tl;dr: Charlie threw one of his trademark bitchfits because he ran into a Rhyperior in Wagwhomp Swamp and started yelling at his Pokemon, causing them to do the intelligent thing and get the Hell away from him. Charlie ragequit and threw his Pokeball away, Grey reffed it as the ball being chucked at a Tree and breaking, and the rest is history.

Enough, Blademaster -- you're not helping the situation.

Charles, the problem with reffing for you is that you don't play the role well enough. You've read every post in my zone, which is fine, but you used that information to become some sort of omnipresent being -- which just doesn't work.

This post is what I'm talking about. You used information that your character couldn'tve possibly known to designate what you were doing, and quite frankly, it makes it a pain in the ass for me to ref. When you're in The Old Village, you could not've possibly known that Ayeun was in trouble in Grave's Yard, or even that she was there in the first place.

So that's my take on the matter.

Greyfox you do have a point I'll keep it in mind next time, if there is even one...

Any ways acording to Pokébeach Information has surfaced regarding the third Black & White sets - Psycho Drive and Hail Blizzard which will be released in Japan on September 16th. It looks like the sets will be bringing back Pokemon-ex, though they may be different than before. as some of you may recall the third gen sets interlaced the EX Pokémon so it might be a hint
    towards R/S remakes

also thanks to that Idiotic Earthquake the two part Rocket VS Plasma episodes were skipped not only in japan but also will be skipped in the USA this is a shame since it looked as thought it was going to be good, I'm hoping they don't get banned since James caught an Yamask in one of them.

Yeah, it's not really kosher to call a natural disaster that did millions of dollars worth of damage and killed thousands of people and unleashed a third nuclear disaster upon their lands "idiotic" and whine for not getting some episodes of Pokemon because of it. :/

    Arena idea!

    The De-Generator
Similar to the Elements of Change arena, you and your pokémon are suspended on a platform high into the air. Unlike Elements, however, your pokémon's types don't change every round. Instead, your pokémon are locked out of their traditional abilities and are linked to the abilities of the arena. Every three rounds, a RNG will issue an different ability for the arena that both pokémon are subject to. This ability can be any of the abilities released so far, even abilities exclusive to legendary and banned pokémon.

It would have to beat up mine first Darth.

Right what I meant to say the people in charge of the Animé are way to sensitive about Earthquakes, while yes it was not in good taste for me to say that to be quite frank I really see no reason for Skipping them I mean were any of the Godzilla films ever banned because of of an earthquake no not to my knowledge and yet they had far more destruction then the Rocket VS Plasma episodes you could say there on way different levels however when it comes right down to it, they both have humans and Monsters Running amok...

Anyways I was just pointing out a possible hint at a R/S Remake.

Anyways come to think both Kanto and Jotho are most likely meant to be based off Tokyo which makes a whole lot more Sense then them being directly based off Honshu.

Charles there is SOOOO much wrong with what you just said... Let's break it down.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_T%...ke_and_tsunami

There was a lot of stuff going on. The primary earthquake and aftershocks, not to mention Nuclear plant meltdowns causing many people to evacuate their homes and businesses, and the following tsunamis are a triple set of issues to deal with. For one, did you know the Dream Network was shut down for nearly a month by Nintendo of Japan to help save energy costs due to the event because that power was more useful towards the recovery effort?

Too sensitive you say? Say that to the families of the following casualties:

    The National Police Agency has confirmed 15,538 deaths,[4][5] 5,685 injured,[4][5] and 7,060 people missing[4][5] across eighteen prefectures.[4][5]
Of the 13,135 fatalities recovered by 11 April 2011, 12,143 or 92.5% died by drowning. Victims aged 60 or older accounted for 65.2% of the deaths, with 24% of total victims being in their 70s.
And how about this little tidbit?

Japanese funerals are normally elaborate Buddhist ceremonies which entail cremation. The thousands of bodies, however, exceeded the capacity of available crematoriums and morgues, many of them damaged,[160][161] and there were shortages of both kerosene—each cremation requires 50 liters—and dry ice for preservation.[162] The single crematorium in Higashimatsushima, for example, could only handle four bodies a day, although hundreds were found there.[163] Governments and the military were forced to bury many bodies in hastily dug mass graves with rudimentary or no rites, although relatives of the deceased were promised that they would be cremated later.[164]
Please note the bold as it is VERY important to the topic at hand. This many deaths, thousands of displaced children, families, and lost lively hoods, and you're complaining about them pulling a couple of anime episodes?

Let's not forget that Japan still remains part of the most seismically active areas of earth (Ring of Fire)

Funny you should mention this, as I actually know a fair amount about Godzilla.

Godzilla is different than Pokemon, on several levels.

For one, the original Godzilla (1954) was a political statement about the abuses of nuclear weapons by a people who had experienced the horrors of such weapons first hand. He is not a natural disaster, he is the embodiment of the "follies of man" and our own hubris made manifest. That, is what Godzilla is.

Every Godzilla movie made in the past 50+ years has had a comment on political and environmental views, including pollution (Godzilla vs the Smog Monster), Environmental conservation and corporate greed (Son of Godzilla, Godzilla vs Mothra [1992], Mothra vs Godzilla [1964]), and abuse of radiation based weapons (Godzilla 1954, Godzilla Returns [1984]), and even raw human arrogance (Godzilla vs Biollante, Godzilla vs King Ghidorah).

Godzilla is not a Pokemon. And to compare him to one and whine is to insult the legacy of those that died in Hiroshima and Nagisaki.

    No. Wrong. So... freakin... Wrong.

While you are correct in that there is no Godzilla movie that has been delayed due to natural disasters (to my knowledge as well). From 1954 to 2004 there were only 7 major earthquakes that took place in that 50 year time), and only 3 of those took place during the year that a Godzilla movie was released. And those were from 8.2 to 6.5. However in this case there was a massive Earthquake (5th in recorded history.. remember) that took a massive toll on an island nation susceptible to tsunami's and having a nuclear disaster akin to Chernobyl (but not quite as large) while episodes were in production.

    Let's look at the quakes:

    1964: Niigata Earthquake: Casualties: 26
1968 Hyuga nada Earthquake: Casualties: 0
    2004 Chuetsu Earthquake: Casualties: 40

And let's see about the one this year.

    Tohoko Earthquake and Tsunami: Casualties: 15,538 deaths,[4][5] 5,685 injured,[4][5] 7,060 people missing[4][5]

As you can see, there is a MASSIVE difference in scale that it's not even fair to TRY and compare the two. I'm sorry Charles, but your analogy fails.

Considering that the Japanese are usually a bit more lenient with graphic material (Hell Misty in the Electric Adventure of Pikachu had huge boobs!), don't you think that choosing to postpone/ban the episodes was a good idea, considering the following:

Save the Children reports that as many as 100,000 children were uprooted from their homes, some of whom were separated from their families because the earthquake occurred during the school day.[148] As of 10 April 2011, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare stated that it was aware of at least 82 children who had been orphaned by the disaster.[149] The quake and tsunami, as of 28 April 2011, killed 378 elementary, middle-school, and high school students and left 158 others missing.[150] One elementary school in Ishinomaki, Miyagi, Okawa Elementary, lost 74 of 108 students and 10 of 13 teachers and staff.[151][152][153]
    And I'm out.

While I agree with almost (well some mistypings of Japanese place names) everything Mew Master said (to be honest, I even had minor doubts whether it really was his own text, but I know it was because what of it wasn't his own was marked by quotations and we're talking about a TPMer who's a Master of Science) I'd like to point out that you should see THIS ARTICLE for reference if Mew Master's post isn't enough. Granted, Great Hanshin Earthquake in 1995 which took 6,434 casualties occured way before Pokemon was aired, but bear in mind that all this destruction leaves marks on global memory and Japanese people have anime, manga and videogames as channels not only for escapism, but to deal with these traumas. Now due to the March 11 Earthquake several animes were edited, their names may mean nothing to us, but I say Precure, Oniichan no koto nanka zenzen and Madoka Magica. Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 was canceled totally, and you can guess from the name why. However, we'll see how this will affect on the content of Japanese pop culture in future, already after Hiroshima and Nagasaki we have anime like, say, Neon Genesis Evangelion where disasters threaten the country more horrifying than ever in reality.

Actually most of what I got came from the articles I linked at the beginning. I quoted the important parts to take away from the specific articles and bolded that which had a lot of weight to the discussion.

The names may be inaccurate as the articles (if you click the links) are from Wikipedia.

Also, to comment on Mika's statement: "already after Hiroshima and Nagasaki we have anime like, say, Neon Genesis Evangelion where disasters threaten the country more horrifying than ever in reality."

Well aside from the fact that Neon Genesis and many anime that deal with massive disasters that threaten to wipe out humanity were made 50 years after the bombing of Japan, when the atomic bomb attacks were part of an older generation, and reflected slightly in the new generation demographic. The demographic that is aware of the event, but had not experienced it outright.

Quite easily not an exact representation, but also possibly not that far from the truth.

Okay this is really annoying. I'm not getting any e-mails from TPM anymore. My settings have changed in either place so now I'm really confused...

Being serious about the 'back in my days' for a bit...

Back in good old Red and Blue, a group of my friends all got me hooked on pokemon. I got a 2nd hand Blue from one of the guys, and a 2nd hand gameboy from the op shop... One of those 'see through' models.

And every lunch time at school (we were in grade 10 (1999) when we started playing) we would get together, and have battles using the old link cable (we only had one, so we took turns).

One of the guys, his name was Garth, I think, had a level 75ish Alakazam (remember, this was back in the day's of the surf glitch, where you could get infinite rare candy) that we had all seen him raise by hand from a level 12 Abra (no eggs back then).

And even against our level 100 rare candy razed monsters, this Alakazam would DOMINATE us every lunch time...

When Gold and Silver came out, one of the first things I did was raise an Umbreon, JUST to beat that damned Alakazam. And every lunch time, Garth would sit there in a fump, and refuse to battle me, because I could beat him...

    Ah... Nostalgia!
