Yeah, Roy, everyone says they want to go green, but a politician that actually tries to do it gets lambasted for it...

A factory that burns coal pollutes the environment and makes people sick, but when someone suggests replacing it with a cleaner alternative, they're all over him...

Even Saudi Arabia is smarter than coal producers in this regard. They know that oil won't last forever, so their government has several programs in the works that are developing alternative energy sources to fall back on once petroleum is no longer profitable.

And you honestly expect the states that thrive on coal to actually be willing to engage in economic suicide? To allow tens if not hundreds of thousands of their citizens to go unemployed? I mean do you honestly and truly expect them to do that? It would be like telling California that we are moving away from computers, or telling Detroit that we are moving away from Cars. Of course they will want to keep their jobs, who wouldn't?

    Give it up, Roy.

That convict in Texas has no delgate willing to sign up to represent him at the convention, even though he gained 15% of the primary votes, and even if he managed to run for office, he wouldn't be allowed to vote for himself, because he's in prison. He is a pretend candidate.

If 40% of the primary voters in this West Virgina voted for a pretend candidate, West Virginia is a state full of morons.

Or they are willing to send a message that they are unhappy with Obama's anti-coal policies. And seeing how massive the news has been about this in the past 12 hours, I would say the message has been received.

In more relevant news, Mr. Obama has finally said in an interview with ABC's Robin Roberts that he supports same-sex marriage:

"I have to tell you that over the course of several years as I have talked to friends and family and neighbors when I think about members of my own staff who are in incredibly committed monogamous relationships, same-sex relationships, who are raising kids together, when I think about those soldiers or airmen or marines or sailors who are out there fighting on my behalf and yet feel constrained, even now that Don't Ask Don't Tell is gone, because they are not able to commit themselves in a marriage, at a certain point I’ve just concluded that for me personally it is important for me to go ahead and affirm that I think same sex couples should be able to get married."
There you have it. He finally said it.
