As we enter the next round, Munch continues dozing away under the sun. Aww. S'all cute like that... which makes it all the more jarring when a Focus Blast of explosive proportions launches the Munchlax way up into the air and then slams him hard against the ground. Yowch. Munch lets out a Snore (which sounds vaguely like a burp) and the soundwaves pummel Hanzo hard in the chest. He looks dejected. Why would his paramour do such a thing?

Hanzo: <-5 HP; -10 EP>
Munch: <-21 HP; -2 EP>

Rather than attack, Hanzo bends over and starts weeping because at this point he doesn't think Munch will ever truly see the big, strapping Gallade he really is. And then another Snore care of Munch adds insult to injury (or, rather, vice-versa). It's a hard life out there when you're a hopeless romantic.

Hanzo: <-5 HP; Can't move!>
Munch: <-2 EP>

Suddenly, Munch wakes. Yay! She tries wiggling her fingers, but isn't fast enough: Hanzo overcomes his grief and blasts her to high heaven. Munch is thrown out over the water and lands belly-first in the tossing surf. Well, at least her body floats, I guess.

Hanzo mourns the loss of his lady love.

I really can't remember the last time I reffed a Pokemon enduring this much Toxic damage. Poor Hanzo <-13 HP>.
