With both Pokemon suffering impaired Accuracy, it'll be interesting to see how the rest of this battle pans out. Meanwhile, Jordan begins slathering herself and her surroundings with great dollops of mud so as to ward of future electrical strikes. Ixion, meanwhile, decides now is the time to do his best banshee impression. BLAAAAREEEGRAAAAEEEEEEOOOOOAR. Judging by the look on Jordan's face, it worked.

Jordan begins burrowing through the soft earth beneath her feet and, just like that, she's gone. Looks like we have a master spelunker on our hands. Ixion, however, pays this no mind and throws up a sparkly golden shield. It hangs there in the air kind of uselessly but, hey, at least it's purdy.

Suddenly, the earth beneath Ixion's hooves begins to stir. This is never good. Like a groundhog from hell, Jordan emerges from beneath her opponent and lashes out with a powerful Ground-type strike. Ixion stumbles but ultimately catches his balance in time for a Wild Charge. Electricity sizzles all over him as he plows into our little Piplup friend, though the mud seems to protect her from some of the harm. Ixion suffers a bit of damage himself.
