Heald, the idea that ANY rape can be considered "legitimate rape" is ludicrous.
And Akin was dead wrong. Pregnancies happen due to rape rather often. There are 32,000 cases of it happening, on average, annually.
I would say that Akin has just flushed his political career down the toilet and that the GOP can pretty much consider the Missouri Senate seat a lost cause for them at this point.
