If I beat someone quickly, I don't bother with badge count. I get in the same way Ayeun did.
You've already fough..wait you have three badges too?
Who'd you beat? DF, Grey and Mew?

That's not exactly accurate nor trustworthy, even though that came from my mouth. That moreso meant that maybe the next two people to win could be GL's, but we thought that over and were like "No. We need better criteria." Which will be announced shortly. So yeah, be quick about your next matchup...and you might make it in on some strange fluke.

Haha, that came from mymouthfingers, actually. That was my understanding of the situation (since that's how it worked when Ayeun and Dogfish were promoted), but better criteria is cool, too.Sorry for leading you astray, Chaos.
All of this will be moot anyway when I become a mod... eration!... of the Gym Leader title, which would be Elite Four... most definitely.

BT and I are roughly one Pokemon away from our match's conclusion, so you won't have to wait too long to make an attempt for my badge.
Yay! Now I just need to figure out your gym... And I need to figure out your battling style... There's a reason gym leaders usually end up as refs.

Ok. New Gym Leaders. Post your arena's and Badge here. Any kinks you have with your Gym, we can iron out in a mock battle before you are really open for buisness, if you need.

The Byzantine Blitz
The future is inevitable. Why fight it? Simply embrace the fact that time passes and the world changes, and it is then that we will truly be free from the restraints of the past. That is the moral of everyone living in the Byzantine Blitz, and that is where your challenge today will take place. As mayor and founder, I welcome you to my humble city, and hope you can keep up with the fast paced lifestyle.
The city is made up of three levels; the ground, the lotuses, and the airships. Each level is completely unique and accomodates two different battle styles, single and double. These are dependent on the size of the level, and set up in a way which means there is no way of seeing who wins until the very last battle. Exciting, no? For each battle there is a point system; one point is obtained for a single battle, and two for a double. In the case of a tie; there is a special tiebreaker round which will be explained later.
---
The ground level of the city is much like the city of London but with a distinctly more steampunk vibe; the river Thames splits the city in two, and all the classical architecture London is famous for is still around. Another things which remains the same for London is how busy it is - for ground dwelling Pokemon there isn't a lot of room to move safely; there is little space between roads and buildings which can hinder maneuverability and the only real open space is the river, making battle for the less agile Pokemon incredibly difficult. This also means that Pokemon may need to battle near busy roads - if a Pokemon steps onto the road, there's a damn good chance it'll get hit; this generally sits at around 25% but can be manipulated by moves which throw pokemon onto the road with the specific purpose of getting hit. Don't worry, the passengers are perfectly safe - battles have become so commonplace here that people have taken to giving their cars a special force field which protects them from damage and generally shoves anything they hit off the road, and can sometimes imbue the hits with a type rather than being typeless. This process is completely random, with a 50% chance of a car posessing a type, and the types are random as well. Being hit by a car during regular battle does similar damage to a Take Down attack.
As the battle progresses, rush hour will begin; a time when people are heading to work or heading home. The city is packed full of people which hinders movement massively, and passing cars are most frequent and stepping onto roads in near enough suicide. This means that Pokemon that step on the road have a 70% chance of getting hit, a rise from the 25% chance of the rest of the battle; getting hit will cause damage similar to that of a Giga Impact, down to the ref's discretion. Damage from the cars is in addition to the damage cap; this means that a Pokemon can take up to 40 HP damage in one turn as per the regular cap, with the damage from cars on top. Rush hour occurs every 7 rounds and lasts a round.
Winning a battle in this area of the city earns the victor one point.
---
Next level up are the lotuses, which are accessed by an elevator that trainers can travel up when one of the first matchup concludes. These are most commonly used by citizens as recreational areas to escape the smog of the city's lowest level, so they are designed with this in mind; there are also residential areas on some lotuses, but those aren't used for battling. As shown in the image, the lotuses are above the city resting atop golden pillars that spiral to the ground and stand in groups of three. They are of an impressive size and are large enough to accomodate two large Pokemon comfortably with plenty of room to roam around and battle, thus are perfect for single battles.
On each lotus is a beautiful garden with a sheltered lake in the centre, once per 5 rounds Pokemon can drink from the pool to regain energy or eat a berry from one of the nearby trees to cure a status or heal back some HP. This doesn't expend an action, but instead acts as an extra action once every five rounds. The extent to which the pool restores energy varies widely but tends to reward energy equivalent to two actions of relaxation, and the berries can heal anywhere in the range of 10-30hp, the exact amount is determined randomly.
Winning a battle on this layer of the gym awards one point to the victor.
---
Finally, the top layer is a giant zeppelin, which is surrounded by many smaller zeppelin and planes that will occasionally attack using a missile to do around 8-10 HP damage if it hits the pokemon, and how often this occurs is to the ref's discretion. At the top of the zeppelin is a battlefield large enough to hold 4 large Pokemon, though it is highly encouraged to use the sky around to an advantage. Obviously the zeppelin is moving, so it is important that Pokemon in the battle can hold their ground and remain stable at such heights, as otherwise there's a chance they could fall off which would count as an instant KO. Don't worry, though; your Pokemon will be perfectly safe as there is a forcefield in action which causes any Pokemon that falls through it to be returned to their Poke Ball unharmed.
As mentioned previously, Pokemon are battling atop a volatile airship so it is inadvisable to change the weather too much; thus stronger weather based attacks such as hurricane are banned. This also includes Rain Dance, Hail, Blizzard, Thunder, and any other attacks reliant on weather conditions other than sun. Sandstorm would have no effect due to the lack of sand at such a high altitude.

If the number of Gym Leaders has increased, does the number of badges one needs to make a play for a Gym position increase as well? Or is four badges still what it takes?
Also, Oslo has five wins now. :3
Alright, here it is. I present to you:
Zap Apple Orchard
Located next to an ominous and dark forest, the zap apple orchard is densely populated with a number of dark, purple-barked trees with no leaves.
These trees, however, aren’t ordinary trees. These trees are what are called “Zap Apple” Trees. They only bear fruit once a year, and go through 5 stages to do so. The best part is, these trees are magical!
And Highly Electrified!
Seriously, don’t touch these things. They’ll cause a wicked shock that even Ground types can feel (about the same as a thunderbolt, including the chance for paralysis).
Lightning from Direct contact with the trees is also laced with magic, so any abilities such as "lightningrod" or "Volt Absorb" are ignored with direct contact. The spark pulses of electricity that occur each round, however, are not laced with magic, so they don't ignore abilities or typing.
There are the various stages (or “signs”) that the zap apple trees must go through to bear fruit. Each sign lasts about 3 rounds, with the first one starting at the beginning.
1st sign: Wolves (beginning of 1st round – end of 3rd round) – During the first stage, various Canine pokemon will appear on the scene and begin to howl. If these wolves are disturbed during their howling, they’ll attack! Otherwise, not much else goes on during this stage. The wolves will leave at the end of the 3rd round.
2nd sign: Zap Apple Leaves (beginning of 4th round - end of 6th round) – During the round that this stage begins, a sudden strong wind begins to blow (about the strength of a gust) that mildly damages both pokemon, and the skies are covered with dark clouds. At the beginning of the 5th round, the zap apple trees will spark, sending out a mild pulse of electricity (the equivalent of spark), and the trees will sprout leaves in the blink of an eye!
3rd sign: Murkrows and Flowers (beginning of 7th round - end of 9th round)– Another sudden gust of wind will begin to blow, just like the previous round, but now a flock of murkrow will fly throughout the skies to herald the coming of this stage. If the Murkrows are disturbed, they’ll rain a flurry of attacks upon both battlers. During the 8th round, the zap apple trees will begin to spark once more, sending out another mild pulse of electricity (just like the previous round). Glowing teal flowers will blossom throughout all the trees, and the murkrow will leave at the end of the 9th round.
4th sign: Meteor Shower (beginning of 10th round - end of 12th round) – No sudden gust of wind this time. However, at the beginning of this stage, a meteor shower begins. Each meteor is about the size of a basketball, and they will hurt if they manage to hit you (chance to hit a pokemon each turn (equivalent of rock throw) = 20%). During the 11th round, the trees will once again begin to spark, sending out yet another pulse of electricity. The glowing teal flowers will burst, and a grey apple will replace each one. These are the zap apples in the unripe stage. Remember, these apples are magical, so don’t even think of trying to pick one of them, yet.
5th sign: Rainbows and Ripening (beginning of 13th round - end) – At the beginning of this stage, a lightning storm will appear, lasting until the end of the second round of this stage. This storm acts just like a regular lightning storm would (rain included), but the magic of the orchard prevents the storm from being dispelled by any abilities or moves.
At the beginning of the third round of the stage, the clouds will all disappear with a flash, and a rainbow will appear short after. The trees will give off one last pulse of electricity (this time being the equivalent of “thunderbolt”), and the grey apples will begin to glow. Each of the grey apples will transform into an apple that has the colors of the rainbow. These are the zap apples in their ripe form. Eating one of these apples will cause a random effect on the consumer (could be good, could be bad. Up to the ref’s discretion). Each pokemon can only eat 3 apples, however, before they will become immune to any effects.
The 5th sign will last until the end of the battle.
Move Tutor: Volt Tackle!
This move can only be learned by pokemon who participate in the battle and can learn the moves "Thunder" and "quick attack/extremespeed"

The Wolf’s Paw arena: Located in the middle of a grassy field is the arena in the shape of a Wolf’s Paw Print. The heel of the paw is filled with tall grass and trees. The first toe is a mixture of sand and dirt. The second toe is made up of ice. The third toe is water and the fourth is lava. Each of the claws is a small rock formation but the first one has a cave. This is den of the local wolf pack. There are three of them the Alpha (White) Beta (black) and Omega (silver). Most of the time they will leave you alone. This changes if you disturb them too much. Then one of them will come down and attack. For example, an occasional earthquake while might irritate them but they’ll let it slide. However constant use may cause one of them come down and attack for 5 hp damage. However, for every five rounds there is a small chance (5%) that the wolves might give a blessing. If the Omega appears (75% of that 5%) all pokemon on the field regain 10 energy points. If the Beta appears (24% of the 5%) all pokemon on the field gain 10 Health points. If the alpha appears (1% chance of the 5%) all pokemon gain both 10 health points and 10 energy points.
(when i get time i'll try to make a better picture)
For the TM I'd like to have Poison Fang and i'm thinking that pokemon who participated in the battle and can learn toxic and either bite/crunch could learn it.
I'm still working on a team and a badge.
I like Wolfsong's Move tutor move. Plausible.
BT, still waiting.

Well, for my move tutor, I was thinking of having "Volt Tackle," and only pokemon that participate in the battle and can learn the moves "Thunder" and "Quick Attack/extremespeed" will be able to learn it.
Is that sufficient?

Sorry for the lateness BT. Ok.
Yes-your Gym pokemon can still be given Move Tutor moves. The move you choose as your Gym move though-can only be given to your gym members.
About that move...which was...Volt Tackle....I checked plausibility of those parameters...Yeah, not that many Pokemon can learn it based on the rules you set forth. Curbs it being rampant. I'm approving it.

I also think she's trolling. :/
If not trolling, then no, you can't. Reasoning being that since you are a Gym Leader, you hand selected those Pokemon from your Gym team that you feel deserve that move and therefore will use it the best. Just because now you think there might be some other Pokemon that can use that move on your team in regular battles does not entitle you to using that move on their moveset due to your role.
Otherwise we all would have given ALL applicable team members all of our moves with no restrictions, and that would be kind of messed up in the grand scheme of balance. In a sense it's a upholding of honor.
Side note: If ya change your lineup up-you can redistribute the move that way, provided it still fits. But that's if you don't like your Current Gym Lineup :p

This
The rules for earning the TM are you win, you get to apply it to one of your pokemon. Why should the Gym leader's be any different? If I win in my gym, as a challenger, or more likely as the gym leader when fighting another person, am I allowed to distribute the move once?
And yeah, a lineup change is coming soon (tm). Just need to make a few catches, and then the arena is getting a work over. Waiting for the approval tower to be changed.

One of your Pokemon that participated in the Gym battle.
That's been one of the core founding rules.
You would have to follow that if this were to pass. Seeing as how you've given it to most of your Gym Team already, the only viable option would be to use Pokemon in battle you haven't used as your Gym Squad. :/

Wait what? I don't get that. As a challenger, as in you challenge someone to take on your Gym?
You're still the incumbent, because you are inviting challengers to take you on. That doesn't make you assume the role of challenger.
