Basic. As for the Movelist and Abilitydex, they will receive their upgrades with a collaborative effort. I've already begun watching and noting some moves as they are revealed-but the bulk of the work will come within the first week of playtesting.

And that information will come slower then normal, since we can't (yet) easily hack a 3DS and get to the juicy insides. We might not even know of all the Pokemon, moves or locations, unless revealed by moral crushing DLC.
Looks like those who get the game right from the release date (like I shall) will have to figure stuff out in the way of moves as we play the game.
It'll take some time, but we can probably do it. Then we can probably transfer what we know to ASB mods and stuff.

Sorry to interrupt your great discussion, but there's something that bothers me in Solstice Tree. Mods and veterans refuse to take offered bundles and other gifts because they have too many Pokemon already or something. What happened to 'Gotta catch 'em all'?

But perhaps it's just me being silly, it's none of my business.

It's a mixture of refusing them for having big teams, and giving the new members a chance to get bigger teams. As has already been discussed in this thread, it's hard for new members to accumulate points to get new pokemon quickly, with a random egg being their only option for a quick pokemon. If they don't ref, then winning battles is the only way to get points, and if you only do 1 on 1 and you lose, then that's an income of 1 point for a week or two of battling.

Mods/Vets whatever have large teams, and it gets hard to keep using those pokemon regularly to warrant having them. I like a lot of the pokemon I have, and have either given them tutored moves, or customised their sprites to show it. But I have a lot of other pokemon I have never or very rarely used. Heck, some of them are from the last tree. I've got to the point that I only want certain pokemon on my team now, ones that I am purposefully looking for in the Safari Zone. If they appear for offer in the tree, then I may get them then, but I don't want to fill my team with lots of random pokemon I may not want or never use.

Don't think it's a blight on you who are offering me bundles, I really appreciate that you think highly of me to want to buy eggs or items for me. But in the long run, I would rather see them go to someone who will get more use out of them, than to see your hard earned points squander at the back of my VS Seeker with little to no experience.

This is more eloquent than I would have put it. If you happen to figure out what we may want, then that's more than enough for us. Don't feel bad. We really do appreciate it. In time, we'll soon have small teams too, and then those bundles will seem attractive again.

Yeah, that thing is crazy awesome. With a wicked design and optimal typing (only one weakness if it has Levitate!), I think it might end up being pretty common around here. I'm willing to forgive the underwhelming name. wait we don't know its english name

Steel/Ghost needed to happen in Gen III.

I mean....it's a damn ghost sword. But it still doesn't' do anything to get me excited...

Maybe when I see its movepool, I'll get happy happy about it. Still underwhelmed by X/Y

I want these games more and more with every passing day. This might be my favorite generation since Gen V, which is my favorite generation since Gen IV, which is my favorite genera- yeah, you get the idea. I'm still interested to see more evolutions of previous gen Pokemon and some more legendaries. I think there'll be less legendaries then previous gen, hopefully less than 7.

Also, DL, what would impress you about this upcoming gen? Since I'm so hyped for these games. Am I just easily impressed, easy to catch?

lol, the floating sword idea is something I definitely approve of. As a player of many RPG games (not just the Legend of Zelda series), I have seen quite a few floating swords (including one in Phantasy Star II that can be deadly to an unlucky comrade even if he or she is at full health)...because of that, I am fairly sure this Pokemon will be quite interesting to add to my team once X/Y are out in North America...it's certainly a Pokemon I'd consider choosing for our future X/Y Pokemon giveaway, once that event rolls around.

    Soul Calibur you mean.

Also, it has an English name now. Honedge. Kinda cool. It's a sword possessed by a spirit that drains the life force of those who wield it. Much like afore mentioned Soul Calibur.

If Honedge stays as the name of the new sword Pokemon, I think Hexcalibur might actually fit well as a nickname just incase someone here gets one by the time of the X/Y giveaway. That's just my two cents on the issue anyway.

    >.> If it looked like Soul Edge, I'da been suspect about it. But #TalesofSymphonia? You lose points for that hashtag #abuse.

To answer that question about what would entice me..I'm not sure.

I feel like the series is doing what it needs to do-a generation or two late. All of the innovation we are seeing are fine and dandy, but seriously, swarm tactics should have been in place in Platinum (Zubat alone..) Yes, we needed more multi-place hitting moves, but we got enough of them by Gen 4 to make it worthwhile. Sky battles have been long coming since Ranger II, and a new region was necessary for this global franchise.

So-none of these innovation are making me go "YES!" It's more like "Finally!" So, I am not sure what it is going to take. I think also, that I'm excited for everyone else to enjoy the games for these same innovations-and to bring to light things I may not initially see and vice versa. The learning and culmination of understanding this game is going to bring me the most joy.

    >.> Now if they have a Pokemon called Meteoroth that evolves when holding Honedge and call it Wingblade...then we might get somewhere #FFVIIallday

btw, Oslo knows he's behind on a few reffings/battles and will try to have his shit together tomorrow. :3 In the meantime...

What the eff? D: Is it just me or is that tentacled penguin creature the ugliest thing in the entire universe? Probopass and Garbodor look like they could model for Ralph Lauren by comparison. It's even worse because it's apparently Dark/Psychic, which is a type combo I've wanted to see for a while. Now we've got it and... ugh. :/

I honestly think Probopass looks worse and it seems more like a squid than a tentacled-penguin creature. Water/Dark or Water/Psychic, I think, is more fitting. And I wonder how that Sword thing would attack using Sword like move (e.g. Slash, Cut). The only reasonable way I could think of is to levitate up side down and swing its butt-side.

    It's a bird/quid/penguin/parrot thing. I can't decide if it's horrible, or if I want it!
