Yes-your Gym pokemon can still be given Move Tutor moves. The move you choose as your Gym move though-can only be given to your gym members.

About that move...which was...Volt Tackle....I checked plausibility of those parameters...Yeah, not that many Pokemon can learn it based on the rules you set forth. Curbs it being rampant. I'm approving it.

Does this mean I can challenge MYSELF to a gym match to give a pokemon on my team who is not in my gym lineup my Gym move? If not, WHY NOT? It is only fair, since other people can do that...
