FF High~A Final Fantasy based RPG~Starts

As time passed it became clear that fewer and fewer people were being born with the powers of their ancestors. So, a school was established. A school of magic and wonder. The greatest warriors and mages were asked to become teachers as this school and many agreed. The school was finally established and has been running for many years.
Now, it's your turn to attend.

Basically this is a school RPG based on the whole final fantasy series. It doesn't matter if you don't know anything about the games because you'll pick it up along the way.

Personality: Very outgoing and friendly. Likes to have a good laugh. Generally good mannered and always willing to learn.
Weapon: Gunblade
History: Grew up with his parents who were both qualified mages. His mum was a white mage and his dad was a black one. He hopes to become a qualified warrior.

NOTE: I would advise that you only sign-up as a teacher if you have played at least one FF game. If not then you should most probably sign up as a student.

Lessons are all 1 hours long and started promptly at 9am. Breakfast starts getting served at 7am. If you do not have a lesson you have a free period.

Areas:
The Dorms: Located next to one another to the east of The School Grounds

The Magic Blocks: Located opposite the dorms. Split into 2 sections the left building is for black magic and the right one is white magic

The Field: This is where Summonings class takes place. Students can play here at break and lunch times

The Stables: Where the Chocobos are kept and also where the class is held. Located directly South of the Field.

The Workshops: There are two workshops at the North of the campus. One is where Machina classes are held and the other is for Synthesising classes.

The Arena: Found to the far East of the dorms. The Fighting Skills class is held here. Students may also come during break times or free periods to train and enhance their skills.

The Observation Centre: Is in the North-west part of the campus. It is located by the forest and holds Study Of Creature classes.

The Cafeteria: Where meals are served. Can be found to the South-east of the dorms.

The Stadium: Located a little South of the magic blocks is the stadium. Blitzball practises are held here and it will also be the venue for competitions held at the end of the year.

Right I think that's about it. Everyone will be catching a train in Timber to take them to the school. The teachers will already be there and will be preparing for their upcomming classes.

I leaned against the stone wall, resting my arm on the Hyperion's smooth handle. I was in Timber, waiting for a train to FF High. I thought about upgrading my Hyperion. I had a lot of money so i decided to go buy some stuff later. The Hespera was gone.....destroyed. The train finally came in, steam coming out. The doors opened and I walked into the train, not saying a word.

I walked around the arena quietly the domed top was open but if it rained later I would have to remember to close it. The arena had the ability to change fields but right now it was set on a simple plain field with a few rocks. I drew my sword from off my back. The blade shimmered in the sunlight. A new year, new students, but always the same...

"The same attitude..." I muttered.

Every year most of the students came into my class thinking that they are the best. Then after one match with me (ussually without me having to use any weapons) the students realize their limitations and the boasting stops. There were always a few students though who never claimed to be the best or even bother to challenge me because they knew they couldn't win. these were the best students to teach. they listened and followed my direction to the letter ussually.

The first students would be arriving shortly to the campus. I decided to walk over to the Headmaster's office and grab my class list...

I was fiddling with some files in my office. This was the worse part of the year, sorting the students into their classes, sorting the timetables, making everything's ready for their arrival. It's a pain but in the end, it's worth it.
*Knock Knock*
"Come in."
Serge entered. "I've come to pick up my class list."
"Right." I headed over to my desk and tried to find it amongst the mess. I had to admit, I admired Serge. He had an amazing father and he too was just a great. "Ah, found it." I said, picking it up off of my desk. "Here you go." I said, handing it to him.
"Probably be the same as the other years..." He said quuietly, as he scanned the list.
"Don't be so sure. Times change, anything is possible."
"Perhaps..."
I looked up at the clock. The students would be boarding the train soon, it wouldn't be too long.
"You'd better go and finish up your preparations."
Serge nodded and exited the room. What would this year bring...?

I fiddled with my gunblade as I headed towards the station. Nervous? Of course I was! There was not a single person who left that school without amazing abilities and to have the chance to learn...it was such an honor.
I went into an empty carriage and sat down. I took out the letter they'd sent me and read it once more. It wasn't anything special, just a map, timetable and a few other bits and pieces.
I put it away quickly and gazed out of the window. I was so worried that I'd turn out to be a black sheep and be a complete failure. I pushed it into the back of my mind. No need to worry, I'd do my best and that was pretty much all that I could do.

I decided not to worry and searched the carriarges and saw a guy in one of the carriages alone and so I walked up to him and said:

Looks: 6'6" tall, but slouches slightly. Average build, dark gray hair, black eyes, very pale. He wears black robes with red embroidering on them and a large black hooded cloak.
Personality: Very calm and collected, he is also slow to anger but he can be a trickster at times

Other: Don't be fooled by his appearance, he is a powerful mage and a strong fighter

I stood in the middle of the Field, letting the cool wind ruffle the robes I wore. I glared out over towards the school building with my steepled fingers up to my lips. This school year would be the same as all the others, I knew. The class would stifle laughs and make wise-cracks about my age. They would call me an old man, think me to be decrepit. Hopefully there would be students who went through Serge's Fighting Skills class before they get to mine, he'd teach them to be more respectful. I thought, grinning evily. I grabbed by glaive from the air (It was levitating) and walked to the Headmaster's office. I walked through the empty halls which would be bustling with students in mere hours. I listened to the click of my glaive on the marble floor as I walked along. I knocked on Mark Owens' door.

"Come in," was the muffled reply. I opened the door and came slowly up to his desk. "Ah, yes. I'll bet you want the class list. Serge just came in for his," Mark replied as he pulled out a list of students from his desk and handed them to me.

"Thank you," I said and walked out, skimming over the list as I went. My class was after lunch, which was rather fortunate because the students would be rather sedate, which was a good mindset for them to be in to learn Summons, but when it came to Summons in battle, I didn't want them to be full.

I walked to Mark's office. He looked up as I came in.
" COming for your class list?" He asked.
" Yep." I replied. He gave me the list.
" Are you going start with another of your big fights?" Mark asked.
I grinned. USsually, in the begining of the first lesson i brought a creature for the students to fight. The T-Rexuar was the strongest one I had ever brought so far.
" MAybe. Depends." I laughed and walked out of the office. I looked at the timetable. I was after Serge's class, and the others, right before lunch. Hopefully Serge woulf have disciplined them by then. I walked to my clASS and my baby ruby dragon (pet) sat on my desk. If the students werent disciplined, I thought, Ill discipline em with a creature. I went to obeservatory, where there was a field(hope you dont mind Samchu) where I lkept thecreatures in certain pens. Flame(the baby ruby dragon) flew on to my shoulder and i decided to use the behemoth as the challenge.

The preparations were nearly complete. The feild was set up, but the only thing I couldn't decide on was if i should put all the students in a room and bring them out to challenge me one by one or just let them sit in the seats of the areana and watch the matches..then an idea hit me....

I'll make them challenge me as a test grade and force them to watch every fight

I grinned, almost evily. Them having to watch how quickly every match would go before their turn would get....

No that won't work because then some won't even put forth effort, it would teach them respect...but not discipline and i wanted to do both...hm...well i might as well record each fight and call them out of the windowless sound-proof room one by one. once their fight is over they can sit in the areana quietly and watch.

I figured that would be he best thing to do I took another look at the class schedule and realized there were some classes that still had no teachers.

I decided to walk back to Marks office and see if he wanted me to take the Chocobo class I could handle those birds fairly well (i did have a pet green one inside the stables) and it would only be temporary (until another teacher was found) I walked over to the administrative office my cloak flowing in the breeze....

As I was reading my list, I didn't see Serge coming down the hall, who's mind was apparently on other things, and we bumped into each other. "Oh, sorry about that Serge, wasn't paying attention," I appologized, then looked down the hall. "I thought you already got your list, why're you going back to the office?"

"I'm just going to talk to Mark about temporarily teaching the Chocobo Class," he said, simply. I grinned.

"That ought to be entertaining," I said. He nodded and we continued going our separate ways. I headed out to the field, contemplating my first lesson. I could teach them the basics of physical and mental discipline but they would say that they were bored. Up until I fight that is. I thought. I continued thinking about this as I put the class list in a pocket of my robes and came to a stop in the middle of the field. "Hmmm....Ah! I've got it!" I grinned mischeviously. I'll have a summoned creature greet them, and when someone finally decides to do something about it, I'll come into their view and whoever was too afraid will recieve a B to start the class. How perfectly evil of me. No more people saying they are bored!

"Well here goes," I thought, "Another year, another chance to wreck some havoc."

I heard a knock at my door and I could immediatelt sense that it was Serge once again.
"Forget something?" I asked as he entered.
"Actually, I was wondering if I may be allowed to take the chocobo training class, until we can find someone to fill the position."
"Yes, we have had quite some trouble in finding teachers this year. Very well, you may take the class, I trust you'll do a good job."
Serge exited and I sat in my chair, my back to the desk. Something was happening, something bad, I could sense it but I couldn't tell what it was...yet. But I would, before it had any chance to attack the school I'd know how to stop it.
We just had to wait and see...

Now that that was settled, I walked toward the summoning field I needed to talk to Greygell about our annual match.

This fight had been going on since I came here I challenged him the first week of school. The first year we fought I had seriously underestimated him and it cost me the fight. The next year he still thought i hadn't learned anything and cost him the fight that time. Last year we fought and because we were both serious the fight had ended in a draw.

There were a few purposes to this fight: It occured after the first week of classes so anyone who didn't already respect us and recognize their limited abilities would realize our true power and that we were holding back...definatly holding back. the other was to test each other and see our skill improvement over tha past year.

The only reason I challenged him was because we were at opposite ends of the spectrum so to speak...
He was an expert summoner and a good fighter...
I was an Expert fighter and a good summoner...

I challenged Mark my first year here as well...he and I had a great match but he proved to be the victor in the end. We hadn't fought seriously since although I was considering challenging him to a serious fight as well this year, but that would be later on in the year.

I arrived at the field, Greygell was at the opposite end. As I approached him he turned around looked at me he knew what i had come for.

"After the first week of classes I want to fight you." I demanded.

"Very well." he said smiling mischeviously, "That will not only show you how much I have improved but we'll put the rest of those kids who haven't learned in their places."

I smiled darkly for a moment... and sat down on a nearby rock...

I enjoyed the matches at the beginning of the year that I had with Serge. They were good for us to train, test each other's skills, and put the students in place. I grinned wider. "The students will be here soon and you've got earlier classes than I do. You might want to get going," I said, like a father telling his son to go play. He gave me his own mischevious grin and left. I sate down on Serge's rock and placed my hand down on it and heard magic crackle around me as black lines ran from my fingers and covered the rock with intricate patterns. This should make things more interesting. I thought.
