ASB PC System Beta

The Rules for the PC system are simple. Post your name, and what Pokemon you wish to deposit into a box. Each box holds 25 Pokemon (only a handful of us have over 40). However, all trainers must carry at least 1 Pokemon with them at all times.

Um, first of all, shouldn't this be in ASB Towers?

Second, one question, if we have an unevolved Pokemon in the PC, do we have to have it in the party in order to evolve it (provided it has experience, or if someone got a free experience thing)?

kot-this is a beta. i did no want it there until i felt it was positive the idea was tried and true. second-yes that pokemon would have to be in ur party in order to evolve. wouldnt make sense to have 6 out but evolve one not in use.

How about for those of us with a few more than the box allowed? I currently have 36 so id have 5 too many for 1 box. Are we allowed multiple?

1) This is absolutely retarded for people with over the limit of 25 Pokemon. Why is there a limit on how many pokemon can go in a box? Ash has like 25 Tauros and a BEVVY of others back at the ranch or "box". If this is called ANIME style battling, why the fuck is there a box number limit?

2) The only good of this shit is POSTCOUNT++. Constantly posting that you're withdrawing and depositing Pokemon is stupid, confusing and open to abuse.

3) People will have no need to evolve up weaker and lesser known Pokemon. Thus hello DRAGONITEVSCHARIZARD battles. All the fucking time.

This essentially comes down to whingy bitches who go "WHA WHA WHA I don't have 30 million Pokemon, I find it hard to choose Pokemon to use, why don't I RESTRICT EVERYONE ELSE!111" Honestly, if ASB is that tough for you, add match restrictions on who can be used. So at least then you can attempt to make yourself feel better.

...*sigh* n_n It's at times like that that I'm glads I understand Andrew, instead of taking offense to him.

1) Exactly why this needs testing. Ok, the numerical value of Boxes may be deleted in order for this to be an easy transition. I didn't put a restriction to the number of Boxes-actually. What I said was...

Each box holds 25 Pokemon (only a handful of us have over 40) Meaning you can have more than one. Now, you bring up a very good point Andrew. Maybe the number and the Box system should be obliterated and called Ranch instead, since it would be more intuitive to the Anime to have them all running around in a ranch or some shizzle like that.

That's a innovation that might help this idea. Also, as stated in the chat, this is a test. Not mandatory.

2) Another reason why I want to see it tested. Fine. It's open to abuse. What restrictions would be needed? Time limit, amount switchable at a time. Wha else? All these things I'd like to see tailored so it could benefit everyone, and add a level of challenge. Maybe it might get too rule heavy and as CEB stated, it might drop into turning into a post where people post their teams and maintain on their own (kinda like the reffing tower.) -which will then degenerate back into what we have now, them just chilling in the sigz.

Sometimes evolution has to run its course.

3) Which may lead to people slimming their teams (alot of people are doing that now)
or depositing most all their big guns and only using small guns. You're only seeing one side of the argument. Really, if you take a look at the battles being waged right now, more then half are with small guys, Andrew. I don't think the use of under-evolved forms is going to be an issue.

So right now Andrew, to allay your fears ...
1) its not mandatory
2) this is only a test run, not a legitimate statement saying this is in play.
3) its usefulness will be decided in the coming weeks.
