Milotic Moveset

[Plague]

I was working on a Milotic, and I had this moveset planned,

Milotic
@Petaya Berry
Surf
Ice Beam
Recover
Light Screen

but unbeknownst to me, you can't teach a Milotic Light Screen. So, I was hoping someone could suggest a good alternative. Thanks!

Ummm Milotic does learn Light Screen But as a Egg move... If you want a moveset without Egg moves then replace Light Screen with Attract/Toxic or Safeguard...

Rain Dance draws the foe into using Thunder, so you use Mirror Coat (haha). Go with Hydropump for power or Surf for Accuracy.

AndyPants: It is a TM, but strangely enough Milotic isn't compatible with it. The only way it can learn it is through breeding.

Refresh, Surf, Recover, Toxic @Leftovers

Best set IMO, hypnosis, dragon claw, icebeam, confuse ray, even hp electric can be subbed in there for toxic/refresh.

without refresh, rest, or careful playing, milotic is easily owned by toxic and thus loses all of its toxic-stalling value.

There's a heal belling Chansey on the team, so I don't think that Toxic will be a problem...

i haven't tried out rest yet, but just in general a rest/toxic set could prove to be very effective

One thing you could try is a sleep talking milotic. Even though there is access to recover, there are advantages to a sleep talker. Greater bulkiness. Marvel scale will kick in right off the bat, giving you an extra 50% of defense. It will be a very hard pokemon to take down. Leftovers combined with that can easily defend against moves like toxic. And during your uptime you can bring in Ice Beam and Surf, giving milotic the two best coverage moves accessable. This is how i would use of milotic.

Something else that could go along with what i said about milotic, is that if you want you can bring a light clay dual screen pokemon for extra defense and bulk.
