Advanced Evolution Pokemon and More!

Pokemon shouldn't just stop evolving by their third stage. Most of them have plenty of room for improvement to look and feel more "advanced". So I've taken several third stage Pokemon and given them a fourth evolution, know as their advanced evolution. Of course, I'll also do Pokemon with two/one stages as well.

First up is Advanced Raichu. It lost some of its cuteness, but that should be expected in evolution. The stripes that now appear over its body make it look fiercer, it has whiskers like a real mouse, and its tail is shaped like a blade so it can swing it around in battle.

I'll be doing an Advanced Azumarill next. Look for it soon!

I'll also be displaying other works I've done over a long period of time. This one is not a Pokemon, but a character I made up named Floriel, the Earth Guardian. She's one of five elemental guardians, and of course, represents the Earth element.

Good idea! Though I haven't gone past stage 3 yet, I try to make 3rd or 2nd stage for fully evolved Pokemon. Your Raichu evolution doesn't look much different from a regular Raichu, though. It still looks very nice.

Although in my humble opinion some Pokemon should NOT evolve, I don't mind seeing people's ideas of certain species' evolutions. Your lineart and coloring are rather impressive. And that's one nice shading.

Your Raichu evo is, well... It looks like a cat. And as much as I like tail blades, it doesn't look electric anymore with that kind of blade on its tail.

Regarding the subject of Floriel... She's an interesting character and I like her leafy design. And that plant sword. ^^;

That Floriel pic is really gorgeous. It has all of the colors I like, and I love the drawing style as well. The face kinda reminds me of how I draw my foxy things. Lovely. However, I have to agree that the Raichu could be a tad more different looking though I like the stipes. I'd like to see your other element guardieans ^_^.

Those look great! I love the Raichu evo... I think it's tail looks really neat. ^^; It seems wierd without the traditional 'chu cheeks though... makes you wonder where it's electricity comes from. ^^; Ah well. I love the stripes, and that soft shading... I really like that Earth Guardian too! So pretty! And the backround fits he rperfectly. ^_^ The pose is great, and again, awesome job on the shading.. keep it up!

Thanks for the comments. I know the Raichu looks a bit weird, I was testing it out to see how it would look.

Anyways, this next one is an Advanced Azumarill. Working along with the theme of "Aqua Rabbit" and...WATCH OUT FOR THAT MACE! Oh wait, it's just its tail...^_^

Aah! This one's really cool too! ^_^ I love how you actually gave it more of a body, unlike Azumarill which is just like.. a ball with ears and legs and stuff. O_o; I personally don't like the idea of the big, puffy kidna cheeks, but that's just me, I think you did a great job. ^_^ The tail is scary. o.o Like all your other pics, the shading and lineat are absolutely fantastic. ^_^ Keep it up!

very cool ideas, i love raichu and azumarill advance, and floriel is so wicked, its very much the same style as me, idea wise i mean, im always trying to develop elemental guardians and the like, ive made up elemental hi-guardians and lesser-guardians. Also Divine Elemental Spirits, and the like, which all reside in my own created worl, or realm. I should post some stuff up!

I hate that line with a passion, though, and that's quite an improvement from Azumarill. Still freaky, but more rabbitlike, which is better.

Hey! I do agree that the Raichu evolution isn't really an evolution, more of a mutation, or a shiny, but the Azumarril is awesome! I reckon that it looks much better being more rabbitish in appearance works alot better then the walking jellybean it used to be. The wreckingball at the end of its tail also makes it look more, well, not savage, but at least a more battle orientated Pokemon. *One big thumbs up!*

But I'm feeling better now, so I bring you Advanced Kingdra!...Okay, so it turned out more like an improved version of Seadra than an actual evolution but, whatever, I'm done with it. I liked the idea of Seadra having poison tipped fins, why did they disappear when it evolved? Well, they're back now, along with giant wing-like fins and instead of regular sea horse scales, it is covered with layers of dragon scales to greatly boost its defense.

I really like this. The poison at the tip of its fins doesnt seem very helpful, what with him not being able to use the poison.. But I guess he would be able to poke or prod the foe with the poison. The dragon scales is a very nice idea, and I like how its drawn and shaded. The tail seems to be what could use the poison, it looks like... eh.

Im really fond of the face, with the sort of mask and then all the scalish ness. And the backround is very nicely drawn.. And the shading, and everything. Meh. I like it.. cant see anything wrong. Ooh, also, I like the semi-transparent-ness of the leathery part of the fins, it looks very cool, especially that you shaded it even though its transparentish. Heh.. yep.

Wow. Those are amazing. Every time a look at a good drawing I wish I could draw like that. Anyways. I love the Azumarril adv. the Raichu looks a tad bit like Riachu and you can't tell its electric type. I love the tail on the adv. Raichu though. Its really cool. The Kingdra adv. was very cool. I loved those wing type fin things. Also the dragon scale thing was a great idea! I hope to see more!

WOW! You managed to make my least favorite pokémon into such a cool creature I can't resist it, without even changing it as much as I did when I made Aquadra. Kudos to you, as Steven would say.

The Gribbit.

A Gribbit is a creature I created. It is part griffon, part rabbit, and part kangaroo. All gribbits wear a hat and have no pupils.

Done in pencil and touched up in Photoshop.

That shading is gorgeous. I could never shade well in black and white... I just love the creases in the hat and the highlights on the beak area. And those mountains... 0o0. That's neat how only the eye was colored. And it has that body type that appeals to me

That's quite some lovely texture going on there. Do you use prismas? And what sort of paper? Awww, the tail has a cotton ploof on the end! How festive! You're quite good at making the shiny eye and beak look convincing. Wow... what appeals to me about the Gribbit is that it is cute but the pupiless look to the eyes and the sharp claws gives it a somehwat creepy appearance. What a simple yet sweet gift, food for the hungry woodland creatures ^_^. Unless.... the Gribbit is baiting them O__O

There's one thing I noticed that was interesting, and it was that the blue shadow on the rabbit's body and the blue of the distant slope seem to line up exactly. Not that it's wrong or anything, just a random observation.

And that's a nice observation you made. It's supposed to be like that since rabbits change colors during the winter to blend in with the snow.
