Hello fellow gamers. Since I did not see a topic about this I thought id make one and its about e3, almost a celebration of Video Games themselfs. This topic is to simple talk about upcoming/current or past e3 and the games/ pics of games they are showing. Last year e3 got to see some good games such as Soul Caliber II, who could forget the excitement of the amazing NGC graphics of F-Zero and of course the fun party game Mario Kart Double Dash. All great games but whats happening this year. Games im looking forward of hearing about whether it be Mag./Net are Metroid Prime II (there anouncing at e3 wether or not its multi player) Wind Waker II and I have heard perhaps Need For Speed Underground II. More are sure to be there aswell. So what are you looking forward to this year at e3?

EDIT: I also desided to make a list of the known games that are going to be at e3.Please Tell me more if you know any

All I want to know is where all the good GBA games are. Oh, and I'm hoping they'll have some tangible info on the DS or the next GBA.

These are all the games I'll be looking out for, and my prospects for them. The #/10 is the chance whether I'll buy it or not, 10 being the greatest.

And Driv3r is coming out of PC too.

Prince of Persia 2 [NGC, PS2, PC, Xbox] - If this is anywhere near as good as the last one, I'm getting this. 8/10.

Spider-Man 2 [NGC, PC, PS2, Xbox] - Hmm. The last game followed the rule of Movie Tie-In Games: it kinda sucked. Maybe if they actually try this time...and allow you to go onto the street then I'll be excited. Until then, I'll pass. 4/10.

Street Fighter Anniversary Collection [PS2] - Ah, Street Fighter. Officially the best beat 'em up ever. Hopefully this will be good. 5/10.

Driver 3 [PS2, Xbox, PC] - The promise to add guns gies it hope, but instead of trying to be GTA:VC I think this is going to be more centralised on the chase. Sounds good to me. 6/10.

State of Emergency 2 [PS2, Xbox] - The first one was crap. I can't imagine much prospect for this. Maybe a little substance would help. 2/10.

The Movies [PC] - This looks absolutely cracking. Save movies as mpegs, load them onto the internet, it is all good. 10/10.

Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 [PC] - Having seen the screenshots, my mouth is watering. As long as they don't mess this one up as per RCT2, then I'll be extremely happy.10/10.

World of Warcraft [PC] - Another MMORPG to contend with Everquest (which is crap, I don't know why anyone about pays for this sh*t). It's looking damn fine. 5/10.

Meh, I'll be more interested in the hardware at E3. Particularly, PSP, which has graphics that I say rival PS1, possibly even the PS2 itself. Also, I want to see Nintendo's intentions for the DS, and of course, I want to see anything about the next-gen consoles (I heard either the second GameCube or PS3 is due at the end of next year)

As for games, I'm more interested in finding more about the new entries, like The Movies, and Altered Beast. Lots of these games are sequels, which disappoints me a little.

I'm looking forward to hearing more about Baten Kaitos for the 'Cube. Also, to see if they've improved Star Fox 2 any.

Now, if for nothing else, I would be upgrading my graphics card for the new Rollercoaster Tycoon. Loved the first, hated the second, who knows for the third.

    Lest we forget:

Kimgdom Hearts: CoM and Kingdom Hearts II will both be in E3. These two games have my attention (as well as Sonic Advance 3, but that'll be out right after E3 and doesn't need to show up there). I WANT THEM NOW...

Ah, 'tis a comparably good time to be a Nintendo fanboy. Pretty snazzy lineup for E3, though nothing really gasp-worthy right now. Mebbe they'll surprise me. In a good way, for a change. I'll just focus on those I like right now...

    ~Metroid Prime II: Echoes[NGC]
Would you believe I've never actually played a Metroid game in my life? I've always wanted to, but whittled my money away on other things. Forshame. Nonetheless, a sequel to a game like Metroid Prime would be a quite snazzy opportunity to jump on the bandwagon. And hey, even if this game isn't good, it's never too late to snatch up a copy of the first Prime. Score.

~The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker II[NGC]
I loved the first WW, but felt it was a bit short. In fact, Majora was short too when compared to OOT. I'm hoping that they add some length to the game, but even if they don't I wont complain. Link can do no wrong... well, except in Link's Adventure, but we've had ample time to forgive him.

    ~Mario Tennis
Dammit Nintendo, how can I get terribly excited about a game I know next to nothing about? Sure, you don't want people to steal your ideas, but IT'S A TENNIS GAME. If it's as good as the first one though, and they rectify some of the problems, I'll buy it. If it has a full fledged Koopa Troopa playable, I'll love it.

    ~Need for Speed Underground II[NGC]
I'm sticking with my out of date PlayStation games, thank you. High Stakes, anyone?

    ~Mario 182 (I think the # is right)
What's the likelihood we'll see anything of this game? I'm really anxious to know more about the true sequel to a classic game, but I doubt Nintendo will reveal much more than a teaser of Mario dashing along, if even that. Again though, I wouldn't mind a pleasant surprise.

    ~Paper Mario 2 [NGC]
Oh, it's a sequel now? I thought it was just a remake. My bad. Nonetheless, a gem of a game now has a sequel. If they can recapture the charm the original had, then damn, this will be something special. And I'll get to see Kooper again. Thank you, Nintendo.
EDIT: Just saw pics of the game... Why replace the old helpers? Sure, some of 'em were lacklustre, but Goombario, Kooper and Bow were sweet. I guess I'll learn to like the new ones, though. That new Goomba looks dandy.

    ~Pikmin 2 [NGC]
Usually when a game gets delayed, it makes me mad. For some reason though, the push back in release date made me want to play the original again, and actually get some decent records in Challenge mode. Now that I've done that, I'm lookin' for some snazzy two-player Pikminin'.

    ~Star Fox 2 [NGC]
It's been sad reading all the negative aspects of this game. The first two Star Fox games were brilliant, and two of the few old games I still play with any regularity. Adventures was also a good game, with that added Rare touch. However, if this game really turns out to be dodgy, it'll mean another seven years waiting for the next one after that.

    ~WWE Day of Reckoning [NGC]
Anxious to see if they get it right on Cube this time. I've bought SmackDown for the last three years, but still anxiously wait for something like No Mercy to hit a system, any system. From what I've been reading so far, though, DOR doesn't look like it'll be it. One must remain optimistic, though.

Pleh. There are a few others I'd like to mention, but can't really think of too much else to say. Just hoping that Nintendo will make the right choices at E3, and give the people what they want.

I'm looking forward to both Halo 2 and Conker: Live and Uncut. I've been waiting for new info on these two games for ever. I am also REALLY looking forward to new info on Unreal Championship 2: The Liandri Conflict. It looks sweet.

Yes. Spider-Man 2 is being compared as the "Grand Theft Auto" of Spider-man. Apparently there is full control over the web-slinger, giving you ability to roam the streets and stop modern day crimes. The developers said they wanted to focus more on the day-to-day life of Spider-man, while still having plot elements and following the storyline of the second movie.
I thought it looked nice... but, they could turn it into a pile of dog-****, it all depends on how they do it, and if they do it right.

    Adieu,

    Looking to see:

    Handhelds
I want to see the DS and PSP in action. I also want to see what makes the DS something other than a GBA successor. Not to mention games for both.

Freedom Force vs. the Third Reich
The first was good. Sequel looks good too.

    City of Villains
I am absolutely absorbed by CoH, and I want all the yummy details of the sequel. I'm actually not too interested in being a villain, but I do want to see what this will add for Heroes and how the two sides will interact with each other.

    Release Dates
If you recall, a year ago we were told Half-life 2 would be released, gasp, in September 2003. Oh, that was funny, wasn't it? Using the source code theft as an excuse, Valve has managed to delayed the game nearly a year. I'm tired of excuses. I want a clear date. Same goes for Halo 2.

    Fable, Paper Mario 2, etc.
RPG goodness. In all honesty, I think Paper Mario should've waited until Cube, as it looks fantastic here. Whereas on the N64 the game was a dissapointment visually when compared to Mario RPG on the SNES. I never liked the uninspired story of the first PM, but Mario & Luigi has given me hope that this one will deliver. I hope I don't need to explain Fable.

    Black & White 2
B&W was very ambitious, but didn't really deliver. From the looks of it, the sequel is going to keep the promises that the first failed to bring. This time good and evil will have distinct play types, and they will also be balanced. Furthermor, you're creature will be more than just a useful idiot. I hope they really improved the AI this time round.

    Metroid Prime 2
I really want to see how they pulled off deathmatch, and why that is better than including an awesome co-op mode.

    Grand Theft Auto
Vice City was an upgrade, and a good one at that. But I'm hoping San Adreas gives us the kind of new gameplay the original GTA3 did.

Yeah, sometime in fall. Kinda like how it was supposed to be released sometime in winter 2003, or first quarter 2004.

I want a nice, firm date. Like November X, 2004. Or at least a month. "Fall" doesn't screem solid release date to me.

Though I will admit that Microsoft would be insane to let another holiday pass without releasing this money-making liscense.

I am not as interested in the new games (aside from RE4) as I am interesting in the revealing of the PSP and possibly the DS. New handhelds make me drool. Especially since the PSP is supposed to have PS2 quality graphics.

Wow, shazza. That was an extremely incoherant message. I guess you are interested in the games you listed? Anyway, I am definately interested in Halo 2. They better have more than 2 teams in multiplayer though. That would make it more interesting.
