Death to the Battle Tower!

Okay, seriously. I've challenged the Crystal battle tower about a hundred times, with numerous teams of Pokemon. I've gone so far as to throw a Suicune, Raikou, and Entei on one team. And I haven't won a single time. Heck, I've never even come close. I see people talking about how they stomped the Tower with some incredible team, and I think to myself, "What am I doing wrong?" Then I usually add a bunch of curse words afterwards, maybe break a few things, eat a massive snack that would feed a blue whale for a month...

But my question is basically this: How do you assemble a strong team for the Tower? I've created decent teams for a six-Poke lineup, but I've never gotten the hang of playing with three. I figure either I must be crazy, or these AI opponents have GameSharked invincible Pokemon. So what are your suggestions for mastering the Tower of Doom?

The battle tower works somewhat oddly, i beat it with Mewtwo, Tyranitar and Slowbro who i thought were the three best i could use.

Sometimes it's just impossible though (i've seen all kinds of mad stuff in there!) so my advice is make a good 3 pokemon team with pokemons who can cover thier weaknesses with mirror coat, counter or straight up attacks and most importantly KEEP AT IT!!

Yes the battle tower is full of powerful 15 dv's pokemon that have had the PC trcik done to them ALOT. Basically they have max stats for there level meaning you need some seriously strong pokemon and luck. I just through a load of ubers in (I don't do this in competitive battling but here you have no choice). I only really battle in the lv:100's. I use Mewtwo, Lugia and Charizard (I don't have ho-oh on crystal). I still don't win all the time it's about 50 odd percent mabye a bit higher. Hope I helped.

PS: Always have aeroblast on lugia and amnesia on mewtwo (to survive).

just pick what you think are the best and go with it (if it's mewtwo, lugia, and ho-oh, so be it). just try to make it as well rounded as possible. and yes, the cpu will always get in the impossible hits because they want to make it that darn hard. good luck!
