Get Pokemon X or Y Free In March

Nintendo is running a promotion in North America for the month of March for new Nintendo 3DS/2DS owners. During March, those who register a Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL or Nintendo 2DS system as well as one of the following six games on Club Nintendo, will get a free download code for Pokemon X or Pokemon Y.

  • Mario Kart 7
  • Super Mario 3D Land
  • Animal Crossing: New Leaf
  • Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D
  • LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins
  • Yoshi’s New Island

Any one of the above games, along with the 3DS system, must be registered between March 1st and March 31st, 2014 in order to be eligible for the promotion. Also, the Pokémon X or Y download code must be redeemed by May 31st, 2014 after which it expires.

In Nintendo’s latest Nintendo Direct live stream, they announced a new Pokemon puzzle game coming to the Nintendo eShop called, Pokemon: Battle Trozei. It will feature all 718 Pokemon and cost $7.99 when it comes out March 20, 2014. In Europe, it will be called Pokemon Link Battle and is due out March 13, 2014. Diancie-Pokemon-X-and-YThe Pokemon Company released a new Youtube video and updated their Pokemon X and Y website with more details on the mythical Pokemon, Diancie.

From The Pokemon X and Y Website:

Diancie is an extremely rare Pokémon, created when Carbink undergoes a strange mutation. Its glittering pink body is said to be the most beautiful sight in the world.

Diancie can create diamonds out of thin air by compressing the carbon in the atmosphere with its hands. It uses these jewels in battle to attack enemies and protect itself.

More Diancie and Mega Charizard News From Coro Coro Magazine

More scans have leaked for the next issue of Coro Coro Magazine. This time it reveals that #719 Diancie has the ability Clear Body, learns Hyper Beam and Explosion, and the tag line for the new Pokemon X and Y movie, “Cocoon of Destruction & Diancie” translates to “A grand adventure with the princess of the Diamond Mine Country.”

There also is a special Mega Charizard promotion happening in next month’s issue. Similarly like the Mega Garchomp promotion they ran a few months back, each issue will have a unique serial code that will allow you to receive a Charizard with a Charizardite stone opposite of your game’s version. So those with Pokemon X can get Mega Charizard Y and Pokemon Y players will get Mega Charizard X. Continue reading →
