    Start off with a signal beam! then relax the rest of the round. If he tries to Detect/Protect, Taunt him. If he tries to attract you again (or another status for that matter), Magic Coat one more time

    Signal Beam ~ Relax x2
    (Sub: Taunt any detects/protects, Magic Coat any status)
