We'll see by the 2nd, Roy. That's their deadline.
Changing the subject, you say that Romney's "47% comment" was a "non-issue"? Gallup seems to say otherwise. Take a look:
http://www.gallup.com/poll/157544/vo...-negative.aspx
He's lost his post-convention "bounce". I could have predicted that.
Does Romney still have his post convention "bounce"? Tell me again how much of a "bounce" Romney got from the RNC, would you? Enlighten me.
Avoiding the question I see...
Fine, fine... Keep believing that Romney is winning... The Democrats will be dancing on the grave of his political career come November 7th.
Are these the same Democrats who said that Romney's response to Bengauzi was some horrible gaffe that would cost him? So far it would seem to have hurt Obama more than it would hurt Romney.
Edit: CNN Reports that Ambassador Stevens worried he was on al Qaeda's hit list and the growing radicalism in the area.
"In the months leading up to his death, Chris Stevens, the U.S. ambassador to Libya, worried about constant security threats in Benghazi and mentioned that his name was on an al Qaeda hit list, a source familiar with his thinking told CNN.
Stevens spoke about a rise in Islamic extremism and al Qaeda's growing presence in Libya, the source said."

The Nelson Ratings are in for both the RNC and the DNC, and it seems to be very good for the President, and even better for the Vice President.
Joe Biden's speech was the most watched speech among both conventions, at least by people using televisons, drawing 14.7 percent of the audience of 289.7 million.
President Barack Obama came in second, with 13.7 percent. Mitt Romney was third, with 12.5 percent, and Bill Clinton fourth, with 10.9 percent.
Clint Eastwood's now-infamous routine came in sixth, with only 9.9 percent, but at least he did better than Ann Romney, who was tenth (compared to Mrs. Obama, who came in seventh).
Here are the complete numbers.

I have to say, this shocked even me. I really hadn't expected Biden to be so much of a draw. But surprise, surprise.
Edit: The GOP trolls are already claiming that the only reason so many people watched Biden was because they hoped to get a laugh seeing him humilate himself. Some people just won't give up.

If I had to hazard a guess about why Biden's numbers were so high, its probably because he is the drunk uncle of DC, you can always count on him to say something stupid lol Its like a train wreck ;D

Dude Biden is a idiot and is always good to humiliate himself, I mean man of course people are going to tune in for that!
By the way Obama had his first tough townhall/debate with Univision and man he stuck his foot in his mouth with some of the answers. The "You can't change Washington from the inside" is going to be a Romney talking point for a while. And THIS is the man you said will do so good at the debates?
Well it is Biden. People probably tuned in for the comedy factor.
Edit: Yeah, what they said.^

Let me make one thing clear: I am not saying that the deaths of four Americans at the U.S. consolate in Libya was justified and was not a tragedy.
But before anyone else continues to spout about Mr. Obama and the State Department's "failures of foreign policies" for letting it happen, here's a story that tells the truth about the protests in the Middle East.
http://en.avaaz.org/783/muslim-rage-...stop-the-clash
It puts the whole thing in quite a new light. Only a tiny fraction of the Muslim world is angry at us, and the whole story has been grossly exaggerated.

It also helps to note that despite the lies of the Obama administration, the Bengauzi attack was a pretty planned terror attack that had absolutely nothing to do with the video.
A. Because blaming the consolate deaths on Obama is a lot like blaming the Oklahoma City Bombing on Bill Clinton, something that nobody does. It was a terrorist attack, and blaming the President doesn't make sense.
B. I fail to see where it says he is standing by this claim. It was the initial claim, yes, based on information given at the time, but both the President, Mrs. Clinton, and the State Department are now backing the very claim that you just made, which is what makes sense.

Blaming the President? No
Blaming Secretary Clinton? Yes
She should resign in disgrace or Obama should call for her resignation, because at the end of the day it was her decision to poorly secure a consulate in the heart of a terrorist stronghold.
As CBS News put it, it took over a week for the White House to finally admit it was a terror attack, despite the fact information came out far sooner than that saying otherwise.

Roy... Sigh...
She IS resigning... Whether he wins re-election or not...
Forcing her to do so now would be a tremendous waste of red tape...
Okay Roy, make you a deal...
If Romney admits that he selfishly tried to use the crisis for his own personal political gain and tried to pass off an unconfirmed, unauthorized statement as the White House's official response, then I'll admit that Clinton should admit guilt.
Except that is not the same, Romney's statement was a reaction to a State Department sanctioned twitter account. Clinton on the other hand was the one who decided for some stupid reason that the Consulate should be lightly guarded by local militia in the heart of a terrorist occupied zone.
Those are my terms. Like it or lump it.
Btw, Congress has adjourned until after the election. This investigation into the matter that you said they were pursuing? There was none, it seems.
I honestly do not care who does the investigation as long as the details come to light and those who are responsible be dealt with.
Hey, Roy, still think that Romney's "47% comment" is a non-issue? Check out this article that appeared in the GOP-leaning Rasmussen Reports. Whoever wrote it seems to think otherwise.
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/publ..._establishment
And while you're there, check out their poll. Seems Obama just edged ahead.
Speaking of polls, remember that Democratic voter enthusiasm issue you kept beating me over the head with?
http://www.gallup.com/poll/157547/de...ationally.aspx
Up by a whopping 20% in swing states, it seems.
And that is fine commentary, however by comparing it to Obama's Guns and Religion remark he is making my point, Obama did not lose the election from that remark did he?
By one point, which is simply statistical noise as they go back and forth.
"The swing-state results are based on Gallup Daily tracking from Sept. 11-17"
Wonder where it is now, since this simply could be left over feelings from the Obama Convention Bounce, something that faded rapidly over the last week as Gallup has shown.
Meanwhile how does Obama see the death of the ambassador and the loss of intelligence in Benguazi? "Bumps in the road"
Yeah...

Roy, you were beating me over the head with the June poll long into August, in case you forgot.
This is the September update. And a 20% rise is far more than any Convention "bounce" would generate.
Btw, it continues to baffle me why the GOP was so excited by Ryan less than a month ago. In his most recent speech, he blamed the GOP pundits for Romney's faltering campaign.
A politician blaming the pundits? Kind of like the director of a bad movie blaming the critics for how bad it did, if you ask me.
Speaking of Gallup, Obama is leading Romney there too.
Unless you have a comparable poll to put it to right before the convention you cannot claim that, I am merely pointing out that the timing of the poll is suspect.
By two points, of which yesterday he was leading him by none, do you want me to use the noise card, or the "weekend" card? Both are justifiable on polls conducted over the weekend, it is up to you?
Fine.
Show me one respectable nationwide poll which shows Romney with the commanding lead that so many of you Republicans swore he'd have at this point.
And which strawman said he would have such a commanding lead at this point? It is a dead heat, which honestly is terrible for Obama as swing voters have a tendency to break away from the incumbent at the last minute. Obama needs to have a commanding lead going into election day of over 50% or the risks of him losing is substantially higher.
Fine.
I'll get back to you when he does.
And by the way...
Absolutely not. his lead in Pennsylvania couldn't be better.Obama did not lose the election from that remark did he?
This was NOT a flash-in-the-pan gaffe, Roy. It was much more far-reaching. Even the GOP base seems to think so.
Neither was Obama's remark about voters, however that did not stop him from being elected in 2008, seeing how the two gaffes are comparable, if not worse on Obama's part, I do not see how this will effect the election.
By the way I am just curious, if Romney had called the deaths in Libya "Bumps in the road" do you not agree that the media would be screaming about it?

I got a good laugh out of Romney's most recent interview.
http://www.latimes.com/news/politics...,2317962.story
Read the part where he says he doesn't know why airplane windows don't open.
I sure know why they don't. If they did, the airplane would depressurize and kill everyone on it. But the guy who wants to be President apparently does not know that.
Edit: Btw, Donald Rumsfeld used the term "Bumps in the road" to describe a crisis far more serious than this, but the GOP said nothing at the time.
Another Edit: Republicans are hypocrites. This (and more) all happened on their watch.
Dec. 6, 2004 – Jeddah, Saudi Arabia: terrorists storm the U.S. consulate, killing 5 consulate employees
Sept. 16, 2008 – Yemen: a car bomb and a rocket strike the U.S. embassy in Yemen as staff arrived to work, killing 16 people.

Yeah... lets see what is more realistic
Some one who has two degrees, ran multimillion dollar businesses, and flown everywhere does not know a plane is pressurized despite the fact as I said he has flown probably more times than you and I will fly in our life time...
Or he is talking about the possibility of a pilot dropping the plane down to a safe level when there are problems on board, and triggering the windows to allow for fresh air to come in.
C'mon...
Donald Rumsfeld is not running for President.
And I bet those places had much better security than Benguazi had.
