Hey, Roy, still think that Romney's "47% comment" is a non-issue? Check out this article that appeared in the GOP-leaning Rasmussen Reports. Whoever wrote it seems to think otherwise.

And while you're there, check out their poll. Seems Obama just edged ahead.

Speaking of polls, remember that Democratic voter enthusiasm issue you kept beating me over the head with?

Up by a whopping 20% in swing states, it seems.

And that is fine commentary, however by comparing it to Obama's Guns and Religion remark he is making my point, Obama did not lose the election from that remark did he?

By one point, which is simply statistical noise as they go back and forth.

"The swing-state results are based on Gallup Daily tracking from Sept. 11-17"

Wonder where it is now, since this simply could be left over feelings from the Obama Convention Bounce, something that faded rapidly over the last week as Gallup has shown.

Meanwhile how does Obama see the death of the ambassador and the loss of intelligence in Benguazi? "Bumps in the road"

    Yeah...

Roy, you were beating me over the head with the June poll long into August, in case you forgot.

This is the September update. And a 20% rise is far more than any Convention "bounce" would generate.

Btw, it continues to baffle me why the GOP was so excited by Ryan less than a month ago. In his most recent speech, he blamed the GOP pundits for Romney's faltering campaign.

A politician blaming the pundits? Kind of like the director of a bad movie blaming the critics for how bad it did, if you ask me.

Speaking of Gallup, Obama is leading Romney there too.

Unless you have a comparable poll to put it to right before the convention you cannot claim that, I am merely pointing out that the timing of the poll is suspect.

By two points, of which yesterday he was leading him by none, do you want me to use the noise card, or the "weekend" card? Both are justifiable on polls conducted over the weekend, it is up to you?

    Fine.

Show me one respectable nationwide poll which shows Romney with the commanding lead that so many of you Republicans swore he'd have at this point.

And which strawman said he would have such a commanding lead at this point? It is a dead heat, which honestly is terrible for Obama as swing voters have a tendency to break away from the incumbent at the last minute. Obama needs to have a commanding lead going into election day of over 50% or the risks of him losing is substantially higher.

    Fine.

I'll get back to you when he does.

    And by the way...

Obama did not lose the election from that remark did he?
Absolutely not. his lead in Pennsylvania couldn't be better.
