So tell me something, Roy... Why is Romney campaigning in California right now - a state he couldn't win if his life depended on it - instead of concentrating on the swing states?

Okay, now Romney is saying that the comment about plane windows was a joke...
He made a comment that made him look like an idiot, and now he's saying it was a joke...
Well, no-one seems to be laughing...
Hey what ever it takes to get the story back to Obama's failure to meet with World Leaders while instead choosing to go onto the View this week while at the U.N. and the latest information of the failures at Bengauzi.
Obama goes on The View.
Romney goes on Fox News.
Need I say more?
Last edited by Dark Sage; 25th September 2012 at 12:07 PM.
Yeah, Romney isn't the President and avoiding speaking with Foreign Leaders at a time where Israel and Iran can be going to war to go on Fox News.
Nothing is wrong with the View, but if Obama finds that to be more important than his Presidential duties, then I am sure he will find plenty of time to go on The View when he is voted out of office in a few months.

And by the way, is something wrong with The View? It's been nominated for thirteen Emmys for Outstanding Talk Show on the Daytime Emmy Awards (winning once), nominated thirteen times for Outstanding Talk Show Host (again, winning once), won the People's Choice Award twice, the NAACP Image Award three times, and the Critic's Choice Award once.
I don't see Fox News with such a record.
Most importantly, The View is a popular show, meaning that it lets him get his message to a lot of people, a smart thing to do for someone running for re-election.
Yet it is still important to meet with World Leaders, that is their job. And at a time when the Mid East is in turmoil, and war with Iran is on the horizon, you would think he would take the opportunity to spend face time with them, especially with Ahmadinajad is in town, than chat it up with the ladies of The View. I mean seriously which is more important? The Middle East? Or The View?
If Ahmadinajad was in town, I'd want him to leave town as soon as possible. I certainly wouldn't want the President to speak to him. The guy is insane, Roy, and certainly you can't deny THAT.
I don't deny that but as President you have to deal with bad people, and this is the perfect chance to get a one on one chat with him, especially to gauge his willingness to retaliate against the U.S. if Israel were to strike Iran.
By the way as the AP notes:
Both Presidents George W. Bush in 2004 and Bill Clinton in 1996, though, held a series of meetings with foreign leaders during U.N. visits in their re-election years.
http://news.yahoo.com/obama-election...RNC%20Research
Also it WAS delivered as a joke:
""Basically he was retelling the story and when he said ‘I don’t know why they don’t have roll down windows on airplanes,’ he looked at the audience and everyone laughed,” Everitt told TheBlaze. “It was a clearly delivered joke … There were 1,000 people there that will tell you the same thing.”"

I told you I'd be back when Mr. Obama hit 50% in the polls.
So I'm back.
http://www.gallup.com/poll/election.aspx
I'll remind you again, Roy, you claimed that the Gallup Polls were accurate when they said that voter enthusasm among Democrats was down, only to try to debunk the exact same updated poll by Gallup that said it had greatly improved.
Lets see him hold it for a month.
I did not debunk it, I merely questioned the timing of the sample, which was a valid criticism.
I also noticed you completely ignored my post...
By the way since you said that Paul Ryan's "Lie" made him not qualified for office, do you now hold Obama to the same standard now that we know that he lied about the Benguazi attack being a spontaneous protest?
Want to talk lies?
Seems that Romney's "Death Star" of attack ads is in desperate need of technical support:

PolitiFact rates this one Pants on Fire.
I have to admit, this made me laugh:

Barrack Obama

Mostly True: 98 (24%)
Half True: 109 (26%)
Mostly False 50 (12%)

Mr. Obama seems like the more honest one if you ask me.
Edit: Samuel L. Jackson... I love that guy...

Wanna get into a discussion of the factual basis of Politifacts when it comes to covering Obama's ass, sometimes even blatantly lying? Let me be honest Politifacts has done itself a disservice so many times during this election, I can give you a avalanche of evidence. Does that mean everything Politifact has said is wrong? No, but they have been less than unpartisan this election many times.
By the way I notice you have ignored today's poor economic numbers, or the fact that it is now proven that Obama lied about Benguazi.
Last edited by Roy Karrde; 27th September 2012 at 04:25 PM.
Poor economic numbers? The Market ended up today.
And no-one seems to care about this whole issue about Benguazi but you. Most everyone has stopped talking about it, and it hasn't hurt Obama's job approval rating or his lead in the polls at all.
Orders for Durable Goods dropped 13.2% in August the worst decrease in 4 years, signalling we may be going back into a recession. Q2 GDP was revised downward from 1.7% to 1.3%
No one cares?

Strange… You Republicans scream about the border agent who was killed because of the botched Fast and Furious program and about the four Americans killed in the consulate attack…
And yet, you never shed even one tear for the hundreds of soldiers killed in the two wars that Mr. Obama’s predecessor started… I wonder why…
Of course people of both parties shed tears for those that die on the battlefield. But the Benguazi consulate was not a battlefield, and those 4 Americans were not soldiers. As for the Fast and Furious program, that agent would still be alive if the Government had not been arming the other side.
Seriously man, that came damn close to being a ugly ugly personal attack.
So are some thing you expect me to believe, like Obama needing to use teleprompters (which is a myth; every politician, including Romney, has used them since they were invented) and that voter ID laws have nothing to do with voter supression (how gullible do you think the Democrats are?)
You still think Romney is in good shape, Roy? Take a look at these links:
http://firstread.nbcnews.com/_news/2...e?ocid=twitter
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epo...bama-1774.html
Both these polls show Obama with a lead in Virginia. Why is that significant? I'll tell you why: Because a Democrat has not won that state since Lyndon Johnson did.
For more proof that Obama is in good shape, compared to Romney, early voting started in Idaho today, a state considered a swing state, and if opinion polls among voters there are to be believed, Obama is the favorite. Idaho is a pretty small state, yes (six Electoral Votes), but if it is any indication as to how swing states may go, Romney is not doing well.
Edit: Forgive me, I meant to say that Mr. Obama is the first Democrat to have won Virginia since Johnson did.

How are either of those a personal attack?
First one was done on the 13th man, while Obama was still in his widdle bubble.
The latest has Obama only up 2 there, within the margin of error.
And we still have a LONG way to go
Roy, does the name Mike Turzai ring any bells?
Apparently, because I have to.
You haven't even responded to the Romney attack ad which quoted Mr. Obama completely out of context.
Where it claims he said, "If we keep talking about the economy, we're going to lose", when he was actually quoting Sen. John McCain saying that.
This ad was pretty much a blatent lie, and you keep citicising Mr. Obama for lying?
And please don't say that it was a lie that caused four American deaths, because it wasn't. The attack had already happened. Lying in order to get votes in a Presidential election, as Richard Nixon can tell you, has far graver consequences than something like this.
In short, Roy, if you're going to use the response to the consolate attack as an excuse to call Mr. Obama a liar, then I'm going to use this Romney-approved ad (which Romney refuses to take down) as an excuse to call Romney a liar. End of story.
No really you do not, you claim that some how my views is a attack on you, they are not. Especially not anywhere close to insinuating that I do not care about troop deaths.
And Obama was lying here for election purposes, not saying it was a preplanned terror attack on 9/11 does not make the Obama Administration look weak on foreign policy, or that they were completely caught flat footed.
Feel free to? But it was you, not me that said a liar should not be elected.

Want to know some more of Romney’s lies? I know a bunch of them:
Romney said: "Redistribution" has "never been a characteristic of America."
The truth is: He clearly didn’t do well in history class. It’s been around for a long time, and been a key factor in the administrations of several Presidents, many of them Republicans.
Romney said: Barack Obama began his presidency "with an apology tour."
The truth is: He made two formal apologies during his whole term – towards the end of it.
Romney said: "Under Obama’s plan (for welfare), you wouldn’t have to work and wouldn’t have to train for a job. They just send you your welfare check."
The truth is: That's a drastic distortion of the planned changes to Temporary Assistance to Needy Families. By granting waivers to states, the Obama administration is seeking to make welfare-to-work efforts more successful, not end them. What’s more, the waivers would apply to individually evaluated pilot programs -- HHS is not proposing a blanket, national change to welfare law.
Romney says: President Barack Obama is "ending Medicare as we know it."
The truth is: Not even close.
Romney says: Ronald Reagan’s philosophy of "peace through strength" is why "the Iranians released the hostages on the same day and at the same hour that Reagan was sworn in."
The truth is: Reagan did a lot of things, but this was not one of them. Seven political scholars agree that Reagan’s foreign policy approach was either a minor factor in the release of the hostages or not a factor at all. The fact that the deal was negotiated entirely by the Carter administration, without involvement by Reagan or his transition team, seems to support the expert consensus.
Romney says: In the 2012 State of the Union address, President Obama "didn't even mention the deficit or debt."
The truth is: Try six times, Mr. Romney
Romney says: The U.S. military is at risk of losing its "military superiority" because "our Navy is smaller than it's been since 1917. Our Air Force is smaller and older than any time since 1947."
The truth is: Thanks to the development of everything from nuclear weapons to drones, comparing today’s military to that of 60 to 100 years ago presents an egregious comparison of apples and oranges. He might as well say that our horse cavalry isn’t what it used to be either.
Romney says: "We're only inches away from no longer being a free economy." He has said this three times.
The truth is: Despite the government’s high spending due to the recession, the U.S. ranks low in both total tax burden and high in economic freedom. Romney can make this claim as many times as he wants, but that doesn’t make it true.
I could go on, but I think I’ve made my point.
By that logic, almost no-one in Washington deserves to be President.
I doubt you'd ever find a truly honest politician. As I've said before, one of George Washington's few ideas that was unpopular was that the concept of political parties was a bad idea. He was right, of course, but by the time anyone realized it, it was too late.
The question now is who the bigger liar is. I won't say who it is, but I will say that the GOP isn't exactly putting on a very big display of honesty. Bachmann and Palin have an even bigger percentage of Pants of Fire comments on PolitiFact than Romney.
By the way, correcting a previous post, I meant Iowa, not Idaho.
Idaho is a pretty red state, not a swing state, and early voting has not started there. I meant Iowa.
I apologize to residents of either state for getting them mixed up.
Edit: Obama is ahead in the Rasmussen Reports again.

Looks like Univision is about to drop what they call a "Bombshell" when it comes to Fast and Furious.
"Often lost amid the rancor in Washington are the stories of dozens of people killed by guns that flowed south as part of the undercover operation, and later slipped out of view from U.S. officials. Univision’s Investigative Unit (Univision Investiga) has identified massacres committed using guns from the ATF operation, including the killing of 16 young people attending a party in a residential area of Ciudad Juárez in January of 2010."
and
"Additional guns, previously unreported by congressional investigators, found their way into the hands of drug traffickers across Latin America in countries such as, Honduras and Colombia, as well as the U.S. Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. A person familiar with the recent congressional hearings called Univision’s findings “the holy grail” that Congress had been searching for."
