Pokémon do, in fact, need experience (battle or safari zone) in their current form before they can learn any new moves, so PC, I'm gonna hafta deny you for now. Fortunately, I don't plan on taking these down anytime soon, so you'll have ample time to learn it.

If people've been getting away without linking, it's only because I've actually seen them firsthand in action, so a link wasn't necessary.

Hmm, I was just looking at the list for Extremespeed, and I was curious to ask, could that move technically be learned by any Pokemon that gets Quick Attack and/or one of its other physical variations (e.g. Mach Punch, but not Vacuum Wave since the latter isn't physical), and maybe also if their base speed was a certain value or higher in the games?

KoT: Just Quick-attack. The other +1 Priority moves are more geared towards specific pokémon, while Quick-attack itself is just a high-speed tackling maneuver, not unlike Extremespeed. And we can't limit moves based on the stats of pokémon, because we don't apply stats to ASB except for during certain situations.

Does being in the Safari Zone count as being used?

Hey Greyfox, I was just thinking about something...looking at the list for Hex, wouldn't Drapion technically be able to learn the move, since its pre-evo Skorupi is a Bug type? I mean, if someone here had a Skorupi that was in at least one battle, and learned Hex before evolving to Drapion...would the compatibility here be feasible?

Yeah if skorupi learned it, then drapion would have it. But drapion outright would not be able to learn it. Same scenario with Nincada learning dig, but Shedinja can't learn Dig unless Nincada got it before evolution.

First of all, does the second move have to be taught to the same Pokemon the first one was taught to, and secondly, when buying the first move, does the second one have to have a value equal or less than the first one (e.g. if I taught a Pokemon a move costing 5 Pts., does this mean I could be able to get the second move only if it was 5 Pts. or less?)?

You can use two different pokémon, but the free move will always be the cheapest.
