Fancy Vivillon Pattern Event Coming Soon Fancy Vivillon Announced


Pokemon Traded via the GTSThe next Vivillon pattern has been announced! Do you remember seeing all of the “Pokémon Traded via the GTS” images featuring Vivillon’s many forms on the Pokemon Global Link website? If not, maybe the image to the right will jog your memory.

Well, it has been announced that once the number of Pokemon traded hits 100 million you’ll be able to receive Fancy Pattern Vivillon via a special distribution event. Once the goal is reached we’ll have to check back with Pokemon.com to see how to get our Fancy Vivillon. We’ll make sure to bring you the info when we get it!

Now if only we could find out how to get the Poké Ball pattern Vivillon to everyone outside of France.

Pokemon 2014 International Challenge May Details Pokemon 2014 International Challenge May


The Pokemon Company released details today about this month’s 2014 International Challenge.

Pokémon fans can begin training for the 2014 International Challenge May, the latest Online Competition to put their battling skills to the test. The 2014 International Challenge May is open to all Pokémon X and Pokémon Y video game players around the world.

Registration for the 2014 International Challenge May begins at 8:00 P.M Eastern Time on Thursday, May 8, 2014, and goes until 7:59 P.M Eastern Time on Thursday, May 15, 2014, unless the player cap is reached before then. Space is limited for the 2014 International Challenge May, so it is important players register as soon as possible. The tournament starts at 8:00 P.M Eastern Time on Friday, May 16, 2014.

McDonald’s next Happy Meal toy line will feature Pokemon XY toys along with what looks like special Pokemon Trading Cards.McDonald's Happy Meal Toys - Pokemon X and YThese toys will also feature McPlay Power, meaning they can be scanned into a mobile app to unlock mini games.

A new Pokémon XY anime titled Pocket Monsters XY: Sora no Hahen (Pokémon XY: Fragments of the Heavens) will premier this July in two Tokyo Planetariums.

The story follow Ash and his friends as they visit the Pokémon Aerospace eXploration Agency (PAXA). They are thrilled by stories from PAXA’s astronauts about the wonders of space and the possibility of Pokémon living in space. Then, just as they hear about the dangers posed by space debris, sirens suddenly ring out. Team Rocket have plotted to seize control of PAXA and have apparently infiltrated the facility.

At that critical moment, trouble develops in a control system for artificial satellites. Large pieces of space debris have collided, causing fears of even more debris.

The Konica Minolta Planetarium “Tenkū” in Tokyo Skytree Town will begin screening the anime July 19 through September 7, while Ikebukuro’s Konica Minolta Planetarium “Manten” in Sunshine City will show it from July 12 to August 31.

Pikachu Named Official Mascot For Japanese Football Team for FIFA World Cup Pokemon World Cup 2014


The Pokemon Company and official Japanese football team sponsor Adidas have announced that Pikachu will be the official mascot for the Japanese football team for this summer’s 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Pikachu will not be alone in his mascot duties. Pikachu will be joined by Meowth, Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle, along with Pokemon X and Y newcomers Chespin, Froakie, Fennekin, Pancham, Helioptile, and Litleo.

The 2014 World Cup begins on June 12. Japan’s opponents include Ivory Coast, Greece, and Colombia.
