Super Smash Bros. director, Masahiro Sakurai, released two more screenshots and game details today about Charizard.

Here’s Charizard’s new special attack, Flare Blitz. It’s a very powerful attack–however, you’ll take recoil damage if you make contact. Pretty true to the original game, huh? Flare Blitz is Charizard’s side special move, and Rock Smash is the down special move.

And here’s Mega Charizard X. This will appear as Charizard’s Final Smash.

Charizard Returns in Super Smash Bros for WiiU and Nintendo 3DS Charizard joins Super Smash Bros for WiiU and Nintendo 3DS


Charizard was unveiled as a returned playable character at the last Nintendo Direct for Super Smash Bros. Charizard’s Mega Evolution, Mega Charizard X, will also make an appearance.

Rumored Pokemon Game For Wii U?


During the Pokemon Game Show on Saturday, Nintendo had a nostalgic video playing where Pikachu heads down memory lane visiting starter Pokemon and game systems from years past.

However, at the end of the video there is a strange 3 second clip of Lucario and Blaziken lined up to fight. The graphics appear to be something the Wii U could produce, so that leaves the question, is this really the next Pokemon game for Wii U? What are your thoughts?

First Pokémon Game Exclusively for Wii U, Pokémon Rumble U, Launching August 29th via Nintendo eShop


Bellevue, WA-July 17, 2013-The Pokémon Company International and Nintendo announced today the upcoming release of Pokémon Rumble U: a fun-filled action game, with intuitive controls, and wild battles. Pokémon Rumble U, the first Pokémon game exclusively for the Wii U system and the first Wii U title to feature Near Field Communication (NFC) figures, will be available in North America via Nintendo eShop on August 29th, 2013 and will be available in Europe on August 15th, 2013.
